Any owners of the Predator XB253QGX?
I was waiting for this monitor to release for the longest time and eventually crumbled and bought the XN253QX (TN 240Hz) because I was sick of waiting.
Any XB253QGX owners here? What are your thoughts?
Cheers

Re: help/recommendation for monitor, first time builder
My feelings on 144Hz vs 240Hz boil down to the fact that 240Hz can play 30/60fps video without stuttering.
I had 144Hz and noticing the stutter every few seconds was annoying enough for me to decide to go for 240Hz. Sure, I might not hit 240fps in every game, but with G-Sync it doesn't matter.

Re: The best monitors with least blur/best response times
... I have absolutely no idea what you are trying to say. I'm talking about IPS inherent issues such as poorer contrast and IPS glow. Then there's TN panels with poor viewing angles etc. I'm saying the new generation of TN panels are extremely good in comparison to the older ones. I did not mention...

Re: The best monitors with least blur/best response times
Before dismissing TN (as I did in the past), check out the new TN panel monitors, they are vastly superior to older TN panels.
You have to decide between IPS (and it's inherent issues) vs TN (and it's inherent issues). Just know that the newer TN panels are way better than the old ones.

Re: What 240hz TN Monitor to get?
i dont understand this. whats the difference with benq and your acer? dont you need to hit 240fps regardless? G-Sync module vs G-Sync Compatible, it keeps everything smooth regardless of spiking framerate. The BenQ XL2546S has G/Freesync Compatibility but not while DyAc+ is enabled. You are literal...

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread
im waiting to order for this reason, but what if it hurts my eyes and i dont use it? is it worth without DYAC? The entire reason to get this monitor is DyAc+, if you don't use it then you are using a very expensive G-Sync "compatible" monitor that usually would retail for around £300-350. I have th...

Re: What 240hz TN Monitor to get?
I have the Acer Predator XN253QX and I love it. I've come from using IPS and I'm pretty anal about image quality, but for a TN this is extremely good. Also, G-Sync module is very good, or I can run ULMB @ 144Hz. I tend to stick with G-Sync though just because it's smoother and less hassle. The new B...

Of course, pushing the monitor back gives the same effect, but some people are just used to 24/25" and having it a certain distance.
All personal preference of course, but I refuse to accept that Windows looks better blown up on a 27" at 1080p.
