Re: Best monitor for gtx970?
What gsync does at low end is pretty impressive though. It hardly makes 30fps look wonderful, but it makes it look consistent. I compare it to assassins creed 3 and black flag (same engine), they might have been a little over demanding for what you got, but the framerate at the lower spectrum on tho...

Re: G-sync running on desktop
It's simply broken, I have Aero off and the monitor still sometimes says g-sync is ON on the desktop (even though I don't even have v-sync and dragging windows shows some very obvious tearing). I'm not sure why those changes would be any good for Windows 10 which is after all very similar to Window...

Re: Best monitor for gtx970?
Freesync also has major lower-than-refresh problems. Even on SLI 980's you are going to encounter gameplay that drops below 30 (explosions, sudden use of brokeh, demanding engines, bethesda modding, and much more)

Re: G-sync running on desktop
it is indeed intentional But why though? I don't understand what this makes better? Why would they do this..if there was something wrong with how it worked before, I could understand 1. Graphics engines that only run in windowed borderless mode (Unity (responsible for almost all early access games)...

Re: Best monitor for gtx970?
If you are going to get a gsync monitor, might as well get a ips one. There is no ips one, so.... I don't know, i'd just wait for a 1920x1080 ips monitor around the 400-500 mark, monitors are investments, so ips is one of those things that will constantly pay off (much like gsync)

It also shows you exactly how important what nividia is doing on the gsync end of things is.

Adaptive Sync and different brains
I've read every post on this board, and while a lot of people have some fantastic knowledge, everything about our individual perception are not taken into consideration. I think it's relevant, because a lot of people complain about gsync not fixing stutter, not looking good at low framerates, etc. A...

Re: GSync - Downsampling - Shader injectors (Sweetfx eFX etc
I don't think sweetfx will effect gsync. Because sweetfx works as a fullscreen injector. It should be identical to a normal monitor with sweetfx, so long as you run in fullscreen

Re: News on the ROG Swift (PG278Q)
On this catleap 2b, it goes even more yellow with flux. Is it meant to go red? I think it's because this monitor is very blue light focused. Another reason to move away from the catleap. (blue light is not great for us)
