Your system is a bit on the lower end of things for playing Apex, especially if you're trying to play 1080p. Make sure all video settings are LOW/OFF (except for NVIDIA Reflex: ENABLED and BOOST). Try 720p, it'll look a bit blockier but your GPU will handle much easier.

Not sure what's going on there. 2560x1440 can alt-tab instantly with certain games it seems, but still have the 3 second issue on some games and with 16:10 (for example CS:GO on 2560x1440 tabs instantly for me).
