Re: After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?

If by smoothness, you mean the fluidity of the animation. Around 160-180fps I would say is where it feels like it's getting maxed out to my eyes. But if you also mean the other aspects of motion such as how clean and clear it looks. I never stopped feeling an improvement and I probably never will be...

Re: Mouse poling rate unstabe

I don't think testing polling rate with a website is reliable. The browser you are using may handle polling rate in a wrong way or something, test with mousetester instead. Just increase your dpi and that will fix it. Are you both saying, that you don't have this "problem"? If so, I'd like to see p...

Re: Mouse poling rate unstabe

You're thinking about this wrong. It's not an issue with the mouse. It's normal that the polling rate drops when you move your mouse slowly because there are less counts to report. if you want more counts to be reported to saturate your maximum polling rate even on slower motions, you will need to i...

Re: The 480Hz Tour De Force, Chef's Masterpiece: 480HZ OLED PURSUIT CAMERA

Speaking of that, wouldn't it be time to change the default testufo speed to something higher?

I mean, motion is typically much faster (especially in video games). And on top of that, higher resolutions like 1440p and 4K are becoming much more common in the high refresh rate monitor market.

On topic:

Can't wait for reviewers to experience 480HZ OLED.
I just hope they will test it fairly and feed the monitor with a stable 480fps to get the full effect.
Hopefully dispelling the "the eyes can't see more than x fps" myths.

Re: The 480Hz Tour De Force, Chef's Masterpiece: 480HZ OLED PURSUIT CAMERA

It’s not something I personally need to bench as it feels unplayable turned on to me.
Oh it's that big a difference? This absolutely needs to be measured rigorously then!

Re: The 480Hz Tour De Force, Chef's Masterpiece: 480HZ OLED PURSUIT CAMERA

I still believe that years from now, after people have spent billions on 500-1000hz panels, that I will be vindicated in declaring any monitor relying on DSC as a meme since it’s heavy ass cursor movement is identical on every single monitor I’ve used with it turned on thus far. Has there been inpu...

Re: How many people here are aware of TAA blur?

At the end of the day, it's for chief to decide what to do about it. There certainly is a potential overlap between communities. From what I've seen there are many knowledgeable and intelligent people in the r/MotionClarity subreddit that can add valuable contributions to the discussions in this for...

Re: G-SYNC Pulsar: Blur Reduction or Black Frame Injection in cojunction with Variable Refresh Rate or Adaptive Sync

Interesting. This could potentially in the future make me go back to bfi. Hard to say without checking for yourself though. Because there is a lot of variation of how people perceive flicker. I happen to notice 120hz BFI easily while many people don't. And beyond flicker, BFI also make frame time sp...
