Do I need to do anything special to set up GSync on this laptop? Does it need anything like the strobe utility or any calibration?

1. In monitor settings I cannot find a settings for vibrance, Intensity,
and Area. Are these features included in this model? Where can I find them?

2. What are the best settings for to get the darkest blacks? I'm playing Alien:Isolation with the following settings and can notice some palish blacks ...

The monitor comes with a 3 year warranty, so even if something is wrong with it you can get it replaced.

1112e, it looks like you could use some monitor calibration. Notice how the bar doesn't blend fully to black in your picture?

I didn't see your second post until after I had taken these pics. I will get pics with my monitor calibrated to match yours in a minute. For now, here is what it looks like with the current calibration.

I recently got a BenQ XL2420Z and I have noticed a significant difference in the quality of gradient from my IPS panel.

I have found that Black eQualizer makes the gradient much worse (full of banding and blotchy colors), but even with that disabled it doesn't look great.

My monitor menu will not let me change gamma settings under Gamer1, Gamer2, or Gamer3 profiles (And several other, but I'm more concerned about these because they can be saved). The word "Gamma" is grey and un-clickable.
