Usually a sleep-mode reset from monitor or OS.

Could be a sleep-mode profile reset bug, when the monitor wakes up.

hmm that sounds probably unfixeable, unless Zowie releases firmware for these monitors

I'd love to hear from XL2546K users. If you try Blur Busters Strobe utility on the XL2546K, hit "F" key to force reconfiguration, and test both the "A" and "B" set of DDC/CI commands. Last time I tried strobing it was on the 2014 ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q and it felt unusable because of how low you had to lower the brightness. I'm now seeing 240Hz monitors with strobing and wondering if the time is right for this sort of thing. How are things now?
