Thanks for the answer, that makes sense.

I assumed that when you change the function of the three keys in the menus, it would also change what they do on the switch.

Just got an XL2720Z (V03), and I'd appreciate some help explaining the S Switch.

I've gone into Menu > System > Custom Key 1/2/3 and changed the functions to be Input/Volume/Brightness since those are what I use most often.

But whenever I tap the 1/2/3 buttons, the screen just blinks black once ...

Got word from BenQ myself ... the XL2720G is cancelled (at least for North America ... no idea about Europe).

Oh well. Hope no one else is waiting for it.

Hmm, just did a search on twitter for "XL2720G" and first hit was a tweet from the Benq America account on Nov 10, 2014 saying:
"@nvmisfit This unit will not be released in America."

So I guess that was their announcement to stop waiting for the 2720G? Bummer.

And they haven't announced any other ...

I've been waiting for the XL2720G for so long, that I'm now kind of expecting Benq to implement 1.3/Freesync. If the XL2720G that eventually gets released (IF it is still getting released) is the same one unveiled 12 months ago, that's going to be somewhat disappointing regardless.

Really want a 27 ...

I keep wondering if for something like Rfactor2, one could use a single BenQ xl2420g g-sync with two xl2420z for a triple monitor setup? G-sync might be interesting for the centre screen, but because the side screen are really somewhat in peripheral vision, you might able to get away with non g ...
