The 590 doesn't support G-Sync. The supported cards are listed here:

Re: New monitor

Whether G-Sync is important to you depends on how much you care about tearing, V-Sync input lag and stutters due to a game's FPS not being 100% in sync with the monitor's refresh rate. This video tries to demonstrate the problem and "emulates" the G-Sync effect (it's in the second half of the video)...

Re: New monitor

If you have extra money to burn, I'd wait for the new monitors from BenQ (the new "Z" models, like XL2420Z and XL2720Z). Asus is probably also going to announce new models.

(Normally I'd mention "wait for G-Sync monitors to come out", but since you're using a Radeon card, it's no option for you.)

Re: Question about Strobe and G-Sync

Hm, when I had a CRT, I would run 60FPS content in 120Hz mode (Doom 3 was capped at 60, and most emulators.) I don't remember any weirdness; it was smooth as butter with no artifacts whatsoever.

Re: New Asus G-SYNC monitor at CES?

I suspect it will be an answer to BenQ's "Z" models. Let's hope that, unlike BenQ, we'll see G-Sync from ASUS. My 60Hz monitor is getting rather old, but after I heard about G-Sync for the first time, I held back from upgrading.

Re: high fps input lag [if GSYNC caps out?]

Also, I just ran high speed video input lag tests, that definitively confirm CS:GO has less input lag with uncapped VSYNC OFF (framerate massively exceeding refresh), than during capped VSYNC OFF (e.g. fps_max 142). This is why I consider it a sucker bet if someone wants to bet money with me, that ...

Re: How does limiting 2 fps below refresh rate help mouse la

Yeah I've been using triple buffer vsync in all my games for many years and I rarely encounter significant input lag since I use pre-rendered frames = 1. Far Cry 2 was terrible about that and Skyrim definitely has more than most games Skyrim is extremely weird in that regard. In 3rd person view, th...

It's like polishing; the damaged surface is removed by the eraser. If you keep going for hours, you'll eventually dig a hole and reach the actual panel :-)
