Re: Viewsonic xg2703-GS vs modern monitors

I still haven't changed. It's a kick-ass monitor  I'm keeping this puppy for years to come.

Re: AOC CQ32G1 Smearing

I recently purchased the CQ32G1, which shows up on the list of approved FreeSync 144Hz monitors, but I notice absolutely terrible smearing/ghosting, particularly in dark areas of games. It's a VA panel, so unfortunately it's more or less normal to have very visible ghosting especially in dark areas...

Re: Would 2 ISP connections increasing the gaming performance ?

hey folks, maybe its a dumb question, i dont know but i was asking myself. its possible to coop 2 internet connections together through a special router, I was wondering if this would in any way increase the game performance ? Does this make sense? or is it rather useless? This is called bonding, a...

Re: Unable to reduce input lag with VSYNC OFF and uncapped FPS with DLP projector.

Do you have any source on Windows changing DWM behaviour (and when it was introduced)? https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/demystifying-full-screen-optimizations/ However, note that in your code you should actually implement a fullscreen context, not a borderless window that's the size of the de...

Re: dell s2721dgf screen tearing with g sync help

I play mainly Smite, a little CSGO and Guild Wars 2, and starting to notice weird screen tearing issues. Make sure vsync is ON (you can force it in the nvidia control panel if you have in-game vsync disabled.) Obviously make sure you cap your FPS to at least 3FPS below the display refresh rate so y...

Re: Unable to reduce input lag with VSYNC OFF and uncapped FPS with DLP projector.

I recorded my VSYNC Tester at ~400fps on my DLP with VSYNC OFF using a Mac (does not seem possible to disable Triple Buffering caused by Windows DWM because I can't get exclusive fullscreen). Windows 10 uses a new mode instead of exclusive fullscreen by default. DWM is disabled in that mode unless ...

Re: Unable to reduce input lag with VSYNC OFF and uncapped FPS with DLP projector.

It's complicated with applications that don't have a true fullscreen mode. Not sure if browsers do that now or not. But you can try and find the application profile of your browser in the nvidia control panel's 3D settings. Find the entry there for Chrome or Firefox (or whatever browser you're using...

Re: Forcing PC games to max refresh

Ill be honest, I dont normally experience games running at refresh rates lower than max... Maybe you have something setup wrong. All games should always run at max refresh. For me they never do unless I disable full screen optimizations for the game's executable. Games that offer a refresh-rate set...

when i played games and when they dropped bellow 120 fps they felt really laggy and unpleasant to play its not stutters its like visual lag.
Set "low latency mode" to "ultra" in the nvidia panel's 3D settings. See if that helps.

Re: G-sync does not work in CSGO in full-screen mode.

Maybe the fps limiter doesn't cap correctly right away. IIRC, there's two limiters in CS:GO. One for actually playing (fps_max), and one for when being in the main menus (fps_max_menu). So try and see what happens after you load a map.
