Re: G-SYNC setting's for 360HZ OLED
I cap my FPS to something that makes each game feel consistent by avoiding big changes in frame rate. Games feel different to me if they run at at 90FPS in one spot but 160 in another. (I'm on a 165Hz display.) So I would cap such a game to 100 to get more consistent motion blur and latency. But it'...

Re: are CRT monitors really better?
Also, the image looks good on a CRT regardless of resolution. CRTs do not really have a native resolution like LCD and OLED have. They are pretty much resolution independent and everything will look good. For TVs, maybe. But for monitors? no. Every CRT monitor has a native resolution you can set th...

Re: are CRT monitors really better?
Off the top of my head: Perfect geometry (CRTs can have varying amounts of distortion.) Less power consumption. Sharper image (but only at native resolution.) They are lighter (CRTs feel like they weigh a ton.) Bigger screen size (good luck trying to find a CRT monitor that's larger than 21".) I sti...

Re: Video stutters, only on my both AOC gaming monitors
What's the refresh rate? You need 60Hz/120Hz/180Hz/240Hz to watch a 60FPS video without stutter. VRR won't work unless you video player actually works with VRR.

Re: Polling behavior of Gsync and input lag
If NVCP is set to "application controlled" then it's gonna be OFF if you disable it in the game.abdelkadr13 wrote: ↑02 May 2024, 15:04Okay I understand. But now if i dont want vsync to be on, is it enough to disable it ingame or should i also disable it via NVCP?

Re: Polling behavior of Gsync and input lag
Do you mean vsync off via Nvida or the Game? Normally Nvidia's standard settings is to let the game decide and when its turned off there, there shouldnt be problems, right? Or should we make sure to turn vsync off in nvidia also? It didn't matter. Vsync was always enabled when g-sync first released...

Looks like you enabled some kind of 3D mode or something intended to be used with 3D glasses? lol.

Re: Polling behavior of Gsync and input lag
When this article was written, Nvidia had not introduced the option yet to set vsync to OFF. So all the measurements were with vsync ON, which of course will increase latency if you don't cap FPS well below Hz.

Re: Polling behavior of Gsync and input lag
http://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/preview2/ That is an old article, but very shocking. I am not familiar with the technical knowledge or the latest news, so I don't know how things have changed since this article was written. Namely, whether Nvidia improved the input lag due to Gsync polling when ab...
