Re: Emulator Developers: Lagless VSYNC ON Algorithm

So this approach didn't allow me to hide the tearline due to the jitter spanning over half the frame height at 144 Hz (while my VBI is only 45 px high at 1080p). Anything I'm doing wrong? Does that mean that flipping entire screen during vblank is not feasible with DXGI? Judging from some posts in ...

Re: FPS Cap Question: Overclocking Refresh Rate for Proper Sync?

The -3 suggestion is an upper bound. Anything lower than that is perfectly fine too. Just pick 200 in your case.

Re: Possible to calculate *displayed* pixels on 24 inch mode 27 inch monitor

Bit of a weird question, but the LG 27GX790A-B is available for 500 AUD less than the 480hz ASUS monitor. However I can find barely any fkn info on this monitor, namely the 24 inch mode listed in the manual, NOWHERE and I mean nowhere is the actual displayed / scaled resolution posted. according to...

Re: Asus XG27AQDMG Discussion

Had issues with uploading the JXR file, common upload sites do not work and it is too big to attach on forum post, I can email or DM somewhere if you'd like. If you use SpecialK, you can take screenshots in AVIF format. Set it to quality 65 (ctrl+click on the slider to be able to enter that number....

Re: VRR Stutter Outside Refresh Rate Division

Any recommendations on what I could try? I can only think of trying VSync Off in NVCP, or possibly a full Windows reset if some app or something is causing this behaviour. Try installing SpecialK and launch a game in it (make sure it's not an online game as those have anti-cheat systems that can ge...

6 bit works great till I go to really white and bright colors, then noise is annoyingly visible for me.
Btw, can you take a screenshot of something that shows noise on your end so I can also test this for myself?

I've just switched over to 144Hz VRR; a 90fps cap now looks stuttery, while a 72fps cap feels smooth.
Well, for whatever reason, VRR is clearly not working correctly.

Any risk in doing that? I saw some people mentioned not to try some of the options on windows 11.
No, they're safe. But make a note of what you changed or added to the registry so you can change it back or remove it later when you realize it won't help :P

Re: Asus XG27AQDMG Discussion

Got this monitor recently, this thread has been a life saver. Wanted to just provide my feedback regarding dithering, 6 bit works great till I go to really white and bright colors, then noise is annoyingly visible for me. 8 bit as it was suggested works good. Thanks for that! :) You can also try th...

Is the gamma setting 2.2 correct for 144hz as well? Or just 120hz.
Yes.

Unfortunately, at 240Hz, 2.0 is a bit too low, and 2.2 is a bit too high. There's no in-between 2.1 option :P
