Re: ULMB 2 Released

Make sure you use very fast speeds like 3000 pixels/sec when testing pulse width differences. My favorite TestUFO for strobe pulse width experiments is www.testufo.com/map#pps=3000 and then maximize to full screen mode (but make sure you're using VSYNC ON for full screen mode in NVCP) I like that o...

Re: OLED BFI Options?

Now, reprojection can be done with massive ratios (10:1 frame generation) for 90% motion blur reduction (1/10th original display motion blur), without using strobing. wow I had not seen that video, and was very confused until linus showed the bit of the frame floating in black space and then it ins...

Re: OLED BFI Options?

I assume these OLEDs will only be able to reach 240Hz with BFI and a 720Hz OLED (360Hz with BFI) is necessary to achieve the same motion clarity as a PG27AQN currently. while maintaining brightness they'd have to chop the refresh rate. But if we're fine with a 50 nit output they could do BFI at ful...

Re: ULMB 2 Released

Seems like using the driver ULMB activation breaks things. It will go automatically from gsync to ULMB if you have it on the game profile. But if you alt tab it then jumps to fixed refresh. After that point I’m not able to turn ULMB back on without rebooting my PC. Hmm actually a reboot didn’t even ...

Re: ULMB 2 Released

Screen tearing aside, would ULMB 2 be better than DyAc+ in a game where your fps is fluctuating from 160-260 fps? Or is the motion clarity only the best at 360hz on the Asus? strobing with fps below refresh rate seems to suck hard imo. it looks like stuttering and is terrible. if Asus would fix ELM...

Re: Valorant's Netcode Desync Fixed with RAM Timings and Nvidia FPS Caps

pros are so far out of the league of ranked players it's insane really. cannot be compared at all. Any pro like jamppi, yay, nats are better than normal radiant player with a bigger gap than radiant has to gold player. If radiant ranked players play on LAN vs pro player the pro will ace them constan...

Re: Asus mod has called on our community to shout about backlight strobing

it lets me turn it on at 120hz. at 100hz no works, 60hz doesn't work Huh! Thank you so much! So at least 120hz is supported, (so probably 240hz should too) this is way easier to achieve in games than 360hz... No 60/100 is a bit of a bummer, but this is still great news! 120hz with potentially great...

Re: Asus mod has called on our community to shout about backlight strobing

edit: wtf. They just deadass added strobing to the pg27aqn out of nowhere? WTF??? Could you please tell us what is the lowest refresh rate at which ulmb2 works? Like, does it work if you set refresh to 120hz, or 100? Maybe even lower, at 90hz, or even 60? EDIT: this is probably the better thread to...
