Re: Question about how Nvidia Reflex works
Reflex works by measuring the time it took the previous frame to be generated and then pausing the game thread for just the right amount of time to synchronize the cpu and gpu work so input latency is minimized.

I'm not moving off the pg27aqn until we have the 480hz oled with BFI. if I can get 240hz strobed oled I will finally feel on par with CRT once again. only took 20 years

Re: G-SYNC Pulsar: Blur Reduction or Black Frame Injection in cojunction with Variable Refresh Rate or Adaptive Sync
I'm both excited they are doing it and disappointed when the PG27AQN doesn't get a firmware update for it because the hardware is missing. I am actually genuinely really curious to why ULMB2 and this new Pulsar tech is so restrictive. Is it really needed? Or can it be done and they just don't want ...

Re: ULMB 2 effectiveness when not hitting 360fps?
If you're sensitive to tearing like me then it's terrible compared to running 360hz g-sync.

Re: Monitor questiom
its no problem, that's one of the things gsync does very well is handling FPS going out of gsync upper range

Re: ULMB 2 Released
Why not Gsync+ULMB2? Asus attempts to do a version of this on the XG27AQM and XG27AQMR. You can have freesync and strobing that adapts to the framerate. It isn't that great though, not because of the monitor itself, but because of the firmware lockouts on OD and the lack of any ability for end user...

Re: Asus PG27AQN vs. Zowie XL2566K vs. 240 HZ OLED
It's just dumb that they added this pulse width setting and then it does absolutely nothing when it could be improving the image significantly Are you sure it does nothing? www.testufo.com/map#pps=3000 and look at the changes in clarity to the street labels. Oh well for sure you're absolutely corre...

Re: Asus PG27AQN vs. Zowie XL2566K vs. 240 HZ OLED
If NVIDIA adds those, it would be pretty much Blur Busters Approved! All my complaints with the thing would be solved with strobe phase adjustment, that's all it needs :( The zowie 360 has slower response time(excepting blacks) than pg27aqn, yet it doesn't have this issue of showing more of the pri...

Re: Asus PG27AQN vs. Zowie XL2566K vs. 240 HZ OLED
ULMB2 sucks, edit, well, it doesn't "suck" that's a bit strong, but there's certainly a lot of room for improvement. At 360hz the strobe phase is off, has no adjustment. The crosstalk is worse than it should be, the bottom 20% of the display is still showing the previous frame more clearly than the ...
