Re: After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?
In terms of motion clarity, the perceived blur reduction is reduced more and more as the refresh rate is increasing but still behind what a CRT can do at a moderate refresh rate. In terms of responsiveness and fluidity, it's more subtle, but nothing comparable to jumping from 30 to 60 fps, where it ...

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
ah dang. yesterday i bought a 77" cx :D i hope ill be happy with it somehow. How much did you spend ? 1500€ Has some protective foils on it so it is in a good condition and has warranty until 2026 Have you tried the BFI mode ? If so, is it bright enough for you and does it fit your expectations ove...

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
Greyed out most likely. I don't think i've understood your issue with the C9. My issue with the C9 is that I don't know if my BFI is throwing out frames or not. I feel like to be able to tell I'd need a high speed camera that could detect that I'm still getting 120 unique frames while engaging BFI....

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
While i value clear motion like everyone else here, it's not a the cost of a severe brightness loss. as we watch tv / games only in a fully darken room and light is a no issue for us, would the CX with full 120Hz suffice brightnesswise in a full darkened room? In 120 Hz mode, CX and C1 are pretty m...

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
One question about it disappearing in terms of UX, is the option simply greyed out when on 120 hz content, or can you engage it, but it's running at 60 hz and thus just throwing out half of your frames? I'm just wondering if people know what the standard is on current displays as I feel like that's...

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
If you would have to buy a oled right now, would you avoid all the new ones due to lack of bfi and just go for a C1 or CX used in good condition? I don't think so, because while lack of 120 Hz BFI is clearly a step backward, i prefer having a brighter 60 Hz BFI because this is my main refresh rate ...

Re: LG C9 BFI at 120 hz
I don't have a C9 so am not 100% sure, but I do have the C1 aka the last LG OLED to do 120hz BFI. The CX certainly has it to. I assume yours does. isnt it true, that only the CX has true 120Hz BFI? the C1 and C2 supposedly only have 60Hz BFI dont they? C1 also has 120 Hz BFI. But its 60 Hz BFI mode...

Re: OLED BFI Options?
I know that QD-OLED is better than WOLED in terms of color reproduction and accuracy, due to lack of white sub-pixel. But i didn't know it was that awful in practice for the latter, just a very light green tint effect if you're really picky. For now, it seems that QD-OLED suffers of burn-in much mor...

Re: OLED BFI Options?
I would hate to have to get another WOLED, QD-OLED and at 32" seems like a solid fit for 8-16 bit titles. What's the real problem with WOLED panels ? I don't think that panels themselves are the bottleneck here, we just need a complete setting list to custom BFI depending on our needs. I would like...
