Re: Gaming PC's Are NOT properly grounded to the Case

For what it's worth for anyone reading this, I tried some/most of the steps outlined here on a fresh windows install and it did not solve my issue. detail: - new case with solid metal construction (no side panel) - new seasonic PSU, a good one - only the mouse and keyboard plugged in (i checked the...

Re: Not an EMI thread - Terminal slug cursor is PSU resistance based, not interference based

as an entry level audiophile, i can say that i know a bit about power cables and power supplies. when you compare the expensive high end pc power supplies sold by the likes of corsair, msi etc, with stuff that audiophiles use especially DIY stuff, the high end pc ones look like children`s toys. if ...

Re: This has finally come to and end

Instead of reading EMI posts that have no solution besides buying a high end double conversion unit for $1000 that sounds like a boat motor and may or may not do something, you should probably start with reading this post first:

Re: 10a 125v vs 10a 250v Power Cords?

I notice a lighter mouse when using a 10a 125v plug. In fact it feels the way it's suppose to feel. In game & on the desktop. That is for both my monitor(BenQ 240Hz) & PC. My PC & monitor both have a voltage rating of 100-240V 10A, but whenever I use the 10a 250v plug my mouse gets way worse. It ha...

Not an EMI thread - Terminal slug cursor is PSU resistance based, not interference based

So I've used all kinds of power supplies from beefy EVGA 1300w G2's, to ATX 3.0 Channelwells, to Corsair platinum SF600/SF750 series, to Seasonics, Superflower Leadex, etc. I ended up with a Superflower Leadex III gold as a backup unit while my Corsair was being RMA'd and even though this PSU is sup...

Hp 27QS - another dumpster fire monitor

Back again with a new monitor review. I ordered an HP 27QS 1440p 240hz directly from the HP website. This model ships with a panel lottery of BOE + LG panel. I specifically told the person who took my order to only send me one with a BOE panel and not LG (it’s indicated with a sticker that says “Rev...

Re: Mouse feel choppy at 60 FPS on 144 Hz G5 Odyssey 32" ( G-Sync enabled )

What GPU? Is the GPU dropping P0 power state and going to a lower power state during games? There’s a registry setting to force P0 power state that you can try to see if it helps, but this is usually a problem for people running something like 1080p with a powerful GPU and not 1440p users. The panel...

Re: Tinned copper epidemic in PSU + display cables

Just took apart a cable for a presumably high quality PSU (Superflower Leadex III Gold) and they’re tinned copper. Like I was saying earlier, those cables should only be 15% as conductive as pure copper (unless there’s some kind of physics I don’t understand here), so mouse movement with pure copper...

Re: The 480Hz Tour De Force, Chef's Masterpiece: 480HZ OLED PURSUIT CAMERA

I still believe that years from now, after people have spent billions on 500-1000hz panels, that I will be vindicated in declaring any monitor relying on DSC as a meme since it’s heavy ass cursor movement is identical on every single monitor I’ve used with it turned on thus far. Has there been inpu...

Re: Gaming PC's Are NOT properly grounded to the Case

there's ground pins on every electrical connector in the pc except for maybe like a fan lmao If the fan is connected to say a 4 pin molex then the 2 out of 4 of the pins are ground. But that doesn’t actually help because I think when the fan motors spin they create noise that leaks back up the line...
