Re: The future of strobing display tech

Yeah, that's exactly my point. I mean, that's why there's this post about OLED and motion blur . As RealNC points out, and as Tom Peterson mentions, it is certainly not a simple problem to combine the two technologies but I'd hope that people are trying. But I guess that about wraps up my question. ...

Re: The future of strobing display tech

I have to say, I feel like I've noticed much more persistence motion blur than I have ghosting. I just went crazy for a bit testing ghosting and overdrive issues. I think I'll go with 40. Well, as you said, it gets better as fps and refresh rates go up. The problem is that, while refresh rates will ...

Re: The future of strobing display tech

If a pixel is constantly illuminated and potentially changes 300 times per second, you have an absolute minimum of 3.33...ms of persistence. That pixel is guaranteed to be the exact same thing until you hit one of those 300 changes, and you'll only hit one of those 300 every 3.33...ms. That will be ...

Re: The future of strobing display tech

3ms persistence on something that's running at sub 300fps is still going to produce exactly equivalent sub 300hz longer persistence eye-tracking motion blur, isn't it? I mean, the displayed image is still there, persistently, during each screen refresh and is therefore not changing until it changes ...

The future of strobing display tech

I have only just recently found this site and was stunned with all the information that I had been looking for but didn't quite know it. For the longest time I was wondering if I was just imagining motion clarity when I used CRT based displays. Never REALLY bothered to look into it until I stumbled ...

Re: Free 120Hz Monitor for random Newly Registered Forum Mem

I just recently found this site and am so pleased with what I've learned. My only question for this "contest," we'll say, is: Do the posts need to be five standalone posts or do replies like this one count? Oh, and the link from Twitter seems to be a bust. It ends up on a page that just say, "You ar...
