Re: How to break dithering/frc

So you can try to run ditherig or color control which has temporal Dithering disable options but it doesn't always work. Win7 is the most safe option otherwise win10 build 1507-1511 is also safe. Everything after that Microsoft has added tweaks to DWM and color management that totally wrecks people'...

Re: Face skin heat issue

I get that too with problem screens. I think it's a nervous system response, visual stress related ?

Re: Eye Strain cause Journey

Another thing to look into is FRC/temporal dithering. Dithering makes me nauseous, dizzy, flush red face, body feels warm, head pressure , dry eyes instantly, and list goes on. Takes weeks or months or two to recover sometimes. Irlens glasses can help mitigate some symptoms but it's not a fix for me...

Re: Eyestrain and headeche from mobilephones and screens

Please help me :( I've bought a lot of new monitors and only one I've found with without huge eye strain is the new 1440p 240hz BOE panel. There's also lots of new, old stock 1080p 144hz - 280hz monitors floating around that use a-SI panels without wide gamut that are probably much easier to look a...

Re: Batch file to turn off 8->10bit dithering in NVIDIA GPUs on Windows

Not a problem! I haven't tested those Quadro RTX 4000/5000 myself but someone I know has with the dvi2pcie(think that's what it's called?) capture card and didn't see any dithering. I did buy the same capture card so I plan to test my other cards eventually

Re: Batch file to turn off 8->10bit dithering in NVIDIA GPUs on Windows

I would recommend using either ColorControl or my own novideo_srgb (also on GitHub), as both use the proper NVIDIA APIs for querying the current dithering settings and configuring it per display. I'm biased towards mine, since the GUI is simpler and it starts up much faster than ColorControl (which...

Haven't tried this yet but here's another!
https://github.com/Maassoft/ColorControl

Btw there seems to be hardware baked dithering in some GPUs that cannot be turned off. I have a bunch of GPUs I have to test. Supposedly the quadro rtx 4000 and 5000 are safe once using color control.
