Re: Help setting up LG CX OLED with Radeon 6800 XT

Wow...setting refresh rate on Windows 10 pro 1909 is kind of obscure

You have to list all modes and select it!

Help setting up LG CX OLED with Radeon 6800 XT

S0 I got an '8k certified 6 foot hdmi cable' , not because I have an 8k tv but because I dont want to deal with possible cable issues. From monoprice it was not too bad. Then I plugged it in to the HDMI port of the 6800xt, (Windows 10 build 1909) and also port#4 on the TV (the one on the back that s...

any widescreen w ULMB?

I cannot seem to find any wide screen monitors (3440x1440) w ulmb. I know there are a bunch of NVIDIA g-sync monitors which have adaptive overdrive to decrease smearing but there is no mention of ulmb. Is this feature being discontinued? Or is OLED soo good that for LED monitors, the writing is on t...

Dell 3821dw

This recently released monitor has the same panel as the LG 38GL950G and 38GN950-B. However the Dell has the GSync module like the GL . Has anyone looked at the Dell? I am perplexed why Dell would release its version of the 38GL950G two years later.

38GL950G vs 38GN950-B

A difference not often discussed in comparing these two is a feature of the G-Sync module present in the GL version - variable overdrive. Does this make a visible difference? Many reviewers feel that these panels are identical and the GN version is less expensive=> therefore better.

Re: 144Hz ULMB or 240Hz CSGO

from what i've read here, the holy grail is framerate=strobe rate =refresh rate. Now if i understand correctly, GSYNC adjusts refresh rate on the fly to match framerate. At this point one needs only adjust strobe rate to match. The BenQ display with DyAC allows strobe rate adjustment in 1 hz increme...

Re: Which 40” tv is best for gaming on pc at 120hz?

Help me understand why a monitor would be better than this TV

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2 ... 20&ie=UTF8

It's 120 hz, 43 in, 4k, low lag.
It could sit on a desk and allow many windows open for regular pc work.
And it's only $300

Very little is posted about this ultrawide on blurbusters. Latency? Blur? Is it a bad monitor or do the other 1440 p monitors in standard format achieve less blur and more smoothness?
