Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Turn off Overclocking in the monitor OSD, apply these CRU settings, and then run Restart64.exe. After that just select the 250Hz refresh rate like normal and turn on ULMB. The monitor OSD will report 360Hz (if the OSD is glitched looking, pull the monitor power plug and plug it back in) but if you ...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

So, after extensive testing side by side with the Zowie XL2566K. The ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP is a much better monitor. The colours are far superior. Especially when you turn Wide Gamut On and change colour depth to 12 BPC. And if you do the colour calibration for it, it blows Zowie out of the wa...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

Ok, so I want to ask you again. Can you get black bars on any resolution? There is the option in the Monitor Aspect Control - eSports Pro Mode that provides 4 resolutions for black bars. But when this is used the in-game menu alignment is way off. My friend apparently can get black bars without thi...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

So, I just got this Monitor. It seems black bars is not possible on it? Also the eSports ratio is broken you get black bars but the screen is not aligned properly to the menu of the games. I should've done my research. Custom resolution doesn't work, black bars don't work, eSports ratio doesn't wor...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

my opinion on the pg248qp, Asus undoubtedly offers better image clarity but it is not perfect, it really lacks an option to adjust the sharpness, the screen coating seems of average quality, it is quite visible to distinguish lots of small shiny spots which makes the image muddled (eTN technology d...

Re: ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz Announced!

The monitor just arrived! On first sight the brightness seems good with ULMB2 activated. Thats a good thing! Bad thing is that the monitor needs DSC enabled for all resolutions above 360hz. That means no custom res on 500 or 540hz.. :( At least for me. If someone else has a solution? More info to f...
