would it be worth capping the hz down to 240 then or would it make no difference?

I recently bought a 360hz panel and it is great for games that can run it at that speed bit for more demanding titles such as games that would run around 240fps I'm wondering if I should cap it at 240hz when I play those titles, and if I did cap it would it make motion clarity clearer or have no dif...

i was looking at 360hz monitors but my games cannot all run at 360fps, i was wondering if a game is only running at 240fps on a 360hz monitor, will it feel more or less smooth than 240fps on a 240hz monitor?

I recently purchased a 240hz monitor and want to cap it for games that can't run at that speed. I want to use backlight strobing and am wondering if I turn on backlight strobing (which runs at 240hz) if I cap monitor refresh rate at 144hz, will the backlight strobing run at 240hz or 144?
