Re: Does HDMI 2.1 QFT benefit me?

If I'm using the 3060 which supports HDMI 2.1, and get a HDMI 2.1 cable and a HDMI 2.1 monitor, at 120HZ, will this automatically give me the benefit of reduced input latency that QFT offers? Or is there a catch or circumstance that makes use of QFT?

Depends on display max refresh rate. If it ...

Does HDMI 2.1 QFT benefit me?

I read a bit of the guide on QFT on this forum by the admin, but it's complex.

Re: Could the game industry be going beyond EBMM and rigging code related to gameplay?

So I think, there is possibly another factor in the hunt for constant good input lag, and that's possibly rigged gameplay that's following a psychological model that raises profits on average from across the playerbase, and this could sometimes mean, your gameplay being chewed up in their gears ...

HDMI 2.1 improves input lag?

I've seen no talk about HDMI 2.1 and input lag on the internet yet, yet the HDMI website says: HDMI 2.1 also helps reduce display input lag (latency)
The first monitors came in 2020, prices are still a bit silly; Cheapest being like £400 from AOC.

Could the game industry be going beyond EBMM and rigging code related to gameplay?

I'd thought I make a thread to see thoughts/feelings on this, since a lot of people do all these tweaks, using great hardware, they feel it works and then they come across contradictions to this feeling, yes some are technical reasons why, luck, physiological, personal and some are placebo but I ...

Re: For random input lag: Hardware Cache Prefetcher? (BIOS)

With the vertices already loaded, does the fact a user moves his camera around, not push anything new to the CPU then? I'm not having all viewing angles of all the vertices are pre-calculated.

Input has already been read. Games don't read input in the middle of rendering a frame and then ...
