Re: Question about 240HZ OLED TVs
Is there any news on TV manufacturers making 240Hz OLED TVs with native BFI for 24Hz content like movies? Or are they not going to bother implementing it?
You will continue to need an external box (like a Retrotink 4K) to add BFI to movies.
Retrotink 4K accepts 1080p24 (HDCP-free) and can ...

Re: LG C2: is there a way to minimize input lag and the stutter sensation of 60FPS at 120hz?
At least you're a PC gamer. For a console peasant like me the C2 is pretty much a nightmare for "older" games that run at 30 FPS. GoWR on performance mode and HFF+VRR looks good, but RDR2 with its 30 FPS looks like I'm going to get a stroke or something. Lmao! Man, I miss my plasma...

Does the RetroTINK-4K work with 30 FPS games?
I have an LG C2 OLED. The problem is, a lot of my games on PS5 still run at 30 FPS. RDR2 is a notable example. The stutter makes this pretty much unplayable for me, which obviously wasn't a problem when I still owned a plasma. My question is, will the RetroTINK-4K solve this problem for me? Will the ...

Re: Motion resolution - does it change with 120Hz strobing?
I know this is a very old post, but does that also work for 30fps? Can I simulate plasma fluidity with 120Hz lightboost?Yes, motion resolution dramatically improves with strobing -- and sometimes by almost an order of magnitude in some cases.

Re: Google AI says a 240HZ Monitor will display 60 FPS contnet with 75% less persistant blur
I find it weird that I never noticed duplicate images on my plasma while playing 30 FPS games at 60Hz -- marketed at 600Hz. I also never noticed flicker. Damn, I wish I kept my plasma so I could compare it...
It's only noticed if you track your eyes on framerate=Hz motion, e.g. panning motions ...

Re: Google AI says a 240HZ Monitor will display 60 FPS contnet with 75% less persistant blur
Yes, you will get duplicate images.
BFI=impulse
It is a personal preference if you prefer more motion blur or duplicate images, and how many. 30fps at 60Hz flicker of any kind is two duplicates, and 30fps at 120H flicker of any kind is four duplicates. Pros of 120Hz is less flicker than 60Hz ...

Re: Plasma vs. OLED question
Hello and welcome to the forum. OLED is not good at lower frame rates due to the way that it handles sample and hold. From my understanding plasma was the second closest thing to CRT level motion clarity. It isn't bias, and you're not falsely remembering the motion clarity either. Plasma was well ...
