Re: How I Finally Beat Desync & Fixed Hitreg — The Real Game Changer
Once you find out what ports the game is using, you open those ports in the router`s firewall
Your router's firewall is blocking incoming traffic from the internet on all ports by default. This is to prevent unsolicited connections to your computer from the internet. Connections from "inside ...

Re: How I Finally Beat Desync & Fixed Hitreg — The Real Game Changer
Disclaimer: I fully believe you and your workaround might actually have fixed the problem with your ISP router. However, this:
This means: 0 ISP control over my connection — all routing, firewall, QoS now handled entirely by my own personal router.
is not how it works. Just a little technical ...

Re: valorant desync/network ONLY thread
It seems the netcode is applying interpolation at the beginning of the match.
This likely happens in every game that uses interpolation. Assuming you're talking about cl_interp, the time interval used to "buffer" data packets before rendering them out in order to achieve smooth motion, is more ...

Re: No FPS gaming possible
Funny how you have 20 years experience and you can't simply connect the dots
So explain it, then? As I said, I'm a mere mortal, I don't have the ability of a super genius like you to connect some dots that aren't immediately apparent. You said a whole bunch of nothing with your post. For a ...

Re: No FPS gaming possible
100% of his problems are ISP related
I've been working with network related things for quite a while, and I know a bit about how this stuff works, all the way down to the "Layer 1" level. However, I'm always happy to learn new things. I am genuinely curious about what you saw in OP's ...

Re: No FPS gaming possible
The AI says that the Windows timer can affect the TSC timer, and if it stops ticking properly, it can affect gaming.
And the AI should never ever be believed a word. AI should be eradicated from the interent, actually. If you think you can trust an AI even for a fraction of a percent ...

Re: No FPS gaming possible
Could this be my problem?
No. What you're describing here is simply your Windows clock being off by a few seconds. Nothing to worry about. Games aren't basing their internal time on your Windows time. If this were the case, you could simply change Windows time manually to a few seconds ahead ...

Re: Data/Feedback required. Please test/try something for me
Could this be related to a ground loop inside the computer?
Would strengthening the computer's internal grounding significantly help?
That's EXACTLY what I've thought before, too. Read this: https://www.igorslab.de/en/the-imbalance-of-current-flows-in-the-pc-why-only-certain-pins-of-the ...

Re: Data/Feedback required. Please test/try something for me
Did you keep the previously problematic PSU/PC to test this theory? Would love to hear your results.
Yes, of course. I still have all my hardware, I usually keep it around anyways. I have all the PSU's here to try, except the ones that blew up, or aren't operational otherwise, of course.
I ...
