Re: When will Oled panels become available?
I'd say ~2025ish for the $500 price barrier to broken for desktop 240Hz OLEDs. 1000 Hz OLEDs are also coming 2027, in this OLED refresh bullet train journey. I've also 100% converted to OLEDs for mixed usage -- even for Visual Studio / office use on the same computers. Great. But still there are a ...

When will Oled panels become available?
All these super innovative OLED panels are of course good, but what good are they if their starting price starts from 800-1000 dollars (I take the prices of models from my country) and they are bought by enthusiasts? When should we expect the introduction of mass (500< dollars, and that’s a lot) OLE...

Re: After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?
So, after making some observations, it seems to me that the point of ideal smoothness starts from 160-180 frames per second

Re: After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?
I guess it depends on the person since a lot of people on youtube comment not noticing a difference above 144hz which I find bizarre. I have noticed a difference at every single jump, the slightest amount makes all the difference. I first tried 144hz, it wasn't smooth enough and I noticed a LOT mor...

After what refresh rate did you stop feeling the improvement in smoothness?
So far I have only been able to try 75, 85, 120 and 144 Hz and each time I felt that the smoothness of the picture increased.
People who have 240, 360 and 500 Hz panels, do you notice this? If not, then after what level do you stop noticing an increase in smoothness?

Re: 1000 Hz: The Journey Begins
What I don't get is Nvidia has a 1700 HZ screen in their lab they have had it for 10 years now So why then are we still at 500 HZ like 10 years later? This is an experimental laboratory display. And as I see from the video, they move the screen on rails and thus it creates the effect of movement on...

Re: How to play old (and not only) video games on high-Hz panels?
Are you sure? I use Lossless_Scaling frame gen interpolation and it works fine except for fast 3D FPS where the edge of the screen has a nauseating issue where it looks like ur looking through glass like the edge is not in sync But for retro games, 2D games, console games locked to 60 FPS like stre...

Re: How to play old (and not only) video games on high-Hz panels?
Up until 2 months ago the answer to this question would be no there is noway until now ^ This app a frame generation app on Steam costs like $7 and it can run any locked 30 FPS or 60 FPS game at double the FPS to 60 / 120 FPS and it takes full advantage of your display if strobing at 120 HZ also, i...

How to play old (and not only) video games on high-Hz panels?
I know many games (including modern indie projects) that have a frequency limit of 60-120, and sometimes 30 Hz. It even happens that if you remove it, problems arise with physics or the gameplay and the game itself break. The question is, what should a person do then who bought a 240+ hertz panel an...
