Re: I found how to remove the automatic frame cap from gsync+vsync+reflex/ullm
Yeah, the point of this was just to get back up to the 237 cap instead of 225. For halo I am using rtss reflex cap set to 237 with the in game minimum frame rate set above that and it feels much better than the auto cap for me at least.
Yes, the Reflex/ULLM cap is pretty conservative.
You can ...

Re: I found how to remove the automatic frame cap from gsync+vsync+reflex/ullm
Easier trick: Set the Halo cap to about 220-224, below the driver-based 225.
The latency ladder is:
- (Highest Lag) VSYNC-based hardware capping
- (In-Between Lag) Driver-based software capping
- (Lowest lag) Game-based software capping
So if you're using Reflex/ULLM, you can also use an in ...

I found how to remove the automatic frame cap from gsync+vsync+reflex/ullm
Hi so I was trying to figure this out for a while and stumbled on this by accident while trying different settings for halo infinite.
Using nvidia profile inspector, all you need to do
Set Vsync to 1/4
Set Vsync - Behavior Flags to 0x00000003.
Make sure gsync is on in your nvidia control panel ...

Re: ASUS PG27AQDM actual pixel clock speed settings vs default nvidia.
The modes on freesync/g-sync compatible monitors usually are made with VRR in mind. If I edit the modes on my XG27AQDMG to raise pixel clock, g-sync stops working correctly. Everything appears to work at first, even the VRR flicker is gone, but there's judder and repeated frames.
If you move the ...

Re: ASUS PG27AQDM actual pixel clock speed settings vs default nvidia.
So anyone reading this with this monitor, I created the custom resolution thru Nvidia instead of CRU.
Then I delete the setting, switch to forced gpu scaling, then forced display scaling, then this makes my resolution show up in the custom resolutions as a 32 bit profile instead, and IDK if its ...

Re: Interrupt Routing
I used gointerruptpolicy to move my gpu and usb interrupts to their own cpu core, then reservedcpusets to reserve that core for just my gpu and usb hub. I get the exact same fps in benchmarks but my inputs feel much faster. On latency mon this gave me better results than anything else. Got me down ...

ASUS PG27AQDM actual pixel clock speed settings vs default nvidia.
So this monitor actually has its timings listed in the manual which is this for 240 hz. "2560x1440-240 Hz H=388.511 V=239.97 Pixel clock-=1056.75"
But the default nvidia 240 hz setting uses slower speeds and 1560 vbi. Is there any benefit to creating a custom resolution to copy those settings when ...

Re: Are there any soft fps limiters?
So using gsync in halo infinite, and every single type of frame cap causes stutter.
Simple rule is if a game stutters with G-SYNC, V-SYNC and FPS limiters disabled, it will still stutter with any combination of them enabled, so the question is it still stuttering for you with all of the ...

Re: VRR...move tearline possible?
Latency gradient during VRR: Pixel row #1 is lowest lag (Zero basis), and increases to the bottom of the screen.
I’ve read so many threads and post here to learn a lot of this stuff. And this might be what I was looking for finally.
Halo infinite stutters no matter what if you frame cap with ...

EDIT* Fixed halo Infinites VRR issue.
So using gsync in halo infinite, and every single type of frame cap causes stutter. In game, all 4 rtss options and nvcp all will make the game stutter at whatever cap you set, and will cause your frames to tear at the bottom. Not sure if this happens in all games or is a halo thing. Vsync on top ...
