As far as I know, you can switch to EDID 500HZ in the XL2586X OSD, which will disable DSC.
So this is optional: 540Hz with DSC / 500Hz without DSC.

Therefore I would advise people to not purchase any monitor that relies on it to function or otherwise turn it off if you can.
Thats why I wont be getting the new Zowie XL2586X u cannot disbale DSC! My Asus pg248qp can.
