Re: CS2 Optimal Settings - Faceit

@kipperii If the game is demanding and your fps are closer to a lower refresh rate maybe yes, but my post still applies to CS 2 due to its complexity between coding, network, subtick system, Faceit anti-cheat, hardware latency network latency etc...

What game do you play?

Re: CS2 Optimal Settings - Faceit

I share the video of a guy who touches his marble a little in computers, very pragmatic and the latter is part of the cross-checks that I was able to make.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zqom0I_1Q4

His analysis is so accurate for the ingame feeling on the fact of doing tests in order to find his ...

Re: CS2 Optimal Settings - Faceit

Play on a 240 Hz screen more particularly CS 2 with a P1 between 250 and 300 and an average fps of 600 on the benchmark test so that ultimately your highest stable FPS on a Faceit server are at 400 there will be latency , I see it a bit like a bufferbloat style on the screen.

Re: CS2 Optimal Settings - Faceit

According to this analysis and the behavior of faceit anti-cheat you would need to have a minimum of 500 stable FPS to be able to fully enjoy 240 Hz on this platform without input lag...

Who can boast of having 500 constant FPS on Faceit? Hmmm I imagine not much compared to the masses

I have a ...

Re: Steam shader pre caching [CS2]

Hi JimCarry

Yes shader disabled indeed I made an error of assessment.
As for launch options, I personally use none.
And then a lot of people have already said that putting launch options could be counterproductive. Back in the days of CS:GO a developer said he didn't recommend using the -high ...

Re: CS2 Optimal Settings - Faceit

@Kipperii

It all depends on your P1 value on the benchmark test of the map on the workshop.
Tell me your config, resolution and p1 and I'll tell you.

I'm coming out of a Faceit pug it was played on de_ancient so to make the game as smooth as possible without delay I capped my fps at 220.

a PC ...

Re: TPM 2.0 is a absolu disaster [Faceit players]

After a long test and with hindsight, even if the TPM protocol creates crazy latency, the external TMP module was not sufficient to resolve my problem.
