This monitor has caught my eye, but lack of sufficient reviews makes me hesitant, especially from TFTcentral.
As I don't have a DVI-D, the cheaper overclockable korean panels are off the table.
Being 30" and overclockable would be very nice.

Except we'll likely have to wait until April for this one, just like the ACER.Steeps wrote:Not sure about affordable, but look at the ASUS MG279Q. Will be $600.
IPS, 1440p, 27", 120hz
This is basically one LONG test of patience...

Re: Should I keep/return my 980?
Thanks, I just gave DSR a try and it's definitely helpful on my temp 720p. SLI 980 is a HELL of a powerhouse, I expect that I should be good for a couple of years.LaffTrack wrote:I'd say just keep the 980. Now that DSR is a thing you can always push your cards to their limits whenever you want.

Re: Acer announces 144hz IPS 1440p G-SYNC! [XB270HU, XG270HU
After what happened with the swift you better hope there aren't supply constraints. This will be the first time I'm preordering hardware.
I'm REALLY tempted. But after the conversion, it's still almost $1000!!!
I'm thinking, maybe I should wait until a preorder is available in the US ...

Re: Should I keep/return my 980?
Is this at 4k? I'm only plan on gaming at 1440p
Yes, DSR 4x is downsampling 3840x2160 on 1920x1080 display.
But 2560x1440 is also almost twice as many pixels as 1920x1080, so it's also very demanding.
You are running 1080p monitor right now? You could enable DSR 2x now to see roughly ...

Should I keep/return my 980?
I may have to end up settling for a 60hz monitor, as I don't know if I can wait 2+ months before I can get an IPS with a higher refresh rate.
With that said, I still have some time to return my second MSI 980 card. Would there be any benefit to having an SLI setup for a 60hz monitor?
Thanks

Re: 96 hz vs 120 hz: Noticeable Difference?
Actually, I won't be able to use the QNIX, except for the True10 monitor, because I don't have a DVI-D connector on my MSI 980. So I can't get one even if I wanted to, since the condition is that the monitor be overclockable.
