Re: Which OLED TV available today handles motion well?
I bought a used LG CX yesterday and am very pleased with its BFI. It has awesome motion clarity for 60 Hz content (BFI set to 'High'). The flicker is no problem for me. Its MPRT is between 3 and 4 ms for 60 Hz BFI, which is the best on every OLED I know so far. The LGs also work perfectly fine with ...

Desktop BFI settings question
Hey, I read that some people started desktop BFI via terminal like /pathtodesktopbfi/DesktopBFI.exe -2 2 0
Can someone explain what these 3 parameters mean and is it possible to insert for example 7 black frames for every 1 real frame to get 480 Hz motion clarity for a 60 fps signal?

Re: LG 27” 1440P 480Hz OLED CES 2024
There's an option in OSD of PG27aqdp to disable DSC, but then the 480hz option disappears for all resolutions. Anyone have an idea how to enable for example 1024x768 @ 480hz when DSC is disabled? HDMI 2.1 should easily have bandwidth for that without DSC. EDIT: Nevermind, simply creating a custom r...

Re: Would PureXP potentially work on OLED displays?
That's true. Right now flicker based motion blur reduction is the only solution in most cases though. There is very few content with more than 60 Hz (except PC gaming) and lots of console games even run with 30-40 fps. So content and bandwidth wise we are still far away from a good motion blur solut...

Re: Would PureXP potentially work on OLED displays?
I think the brightness is just a preference thing. For gaming I always had BFI on high on my LG C1, for SDR as well as for HDR, and I never had complaints about a dim picture. Probably if motion clarity is important enough for you, the brightness becomes less important.

Re: G-SYNC Pulsar: Blur Reduction or Black Frame Injection in cojunction with Variable Refresh Rate or Adaptive Sync
Will these GSync Pulsar monitors only work with devices with an NVidia graphics card or with any device? I’m interested in that technology because of the increase in motion clarity, but I’m wondering if that can be used with the Switch, PS5, too? Does anyone know?

Re: Would PureXP potentially work on OLED displays?
Thanks for the link. Is the ViewSonic XG272 a potential candidate for my needs? Some say it has BFI with adjustable pulse width, but it is not Blurbuster approved and there is not much information on that? Any infos on that?

Re: Would PureXP potentially work on OLED displays?
Thanks for your reply and your explanations! Rolling scan sounds like the ideal solution for that. Is it technologically too complicated to be implemented or is there just to small demand on that feature so manufacturers don’t care about it? I’d be fine with low brightness as well. Motion clarity mo...

Would PureXP potentially work on OLED displays?
Hello there, I‘m aware of the motion blur reduction benefits of PureXP in monitors like the ViewSonic XG2431. Actually I‘m just waiting for a 4K OLED display with HDMI 2.1 with at least 120 Hz refresh rate to use it for consoles like PS5, Switch and probably their successors. As PureXP works with ba...
