Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
So.. maybe this will be the last update because the more things I try out, the more impossible it starts to feel to get to the issue's root or find out where the interference really originates from. I don't know who to call: an ISP tech, electrician, or an exorcist, because this place starts to feel ...

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
I bought the termination cap as cybepine suggested and capped an unused Radio coax socket in the wall. (Pictures attached below)
So there's been a development:
The extension cord improvement's effects are almost completely negated when I close the window in my kitchen.

This is only for those who have cable TV/internet or satellite TV. Not for ADSL, VDSL or fiber.
Buy termination caps for all unused sockets. They cost like 1€ a piece.

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
Days and days have passed, and the audio and image depth improvement hasn't gone away. I still can't believe how much this has transformed the image quality of my monitor and the audio clarity/focus of my headphones. They're in perfect audiovisual agreement now, much like how I remember the ...

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
how many extension cords you use?
Do you think that the length of the wire affects the noise dispersion, or the number of extension cords?
What brand of extension cords?
Maybe the socket you are connecting to is "correct"?
I have 6 extension cords plugged into 6 wall sockets in the living room ...

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
I think this problem may not come from the earphones, because the earphone signal is still processed by the PCB, maybe there is some kind of EMI interfering with the phone
It seems to affect both the phone and headphones. Changing the orientation of my DAC/Amp or moving its location, and slowly ...

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
I do not have any issues with my computers or with audio.
I just wanted to post these pictures for you and other people. So you know what to do and if these help in any way with your problem. (e.g. when the electrician comes).

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
Your phone measures exactly the same thing, AC magnetic fields, caused by AC currents. Just like I said earlier it is just not accurate. Most likely real value is below 50 mG (0.005 milliTesla). If you measure AC magnetic fields there is always AC current. In America they prefer to use milliGauss ...

Re: Poor quality audio from PC. What gives?
Yeah, it does give some indication that there is something. But I don't think it is very accurate. The numbers should not change.
I have very accurate measurement device, which is quite expensive. Magnetic field does not change, when I move it to close to the water heater radiator. The slight ...
