Re: How to overclock G-Sync (Bonus: Unlocked Glitch State)

Interesting. This is the first time I've heard about G-Sync overclocking (beyond the factory-enabled stuff).

I have a 1440p 144Hz G-sync monitor. Are the 1080p monitors different somehow? I thought I tried overclocking it once before, but couldn't get it to budge at all.

Re: New device: GILT Game Input Lag Tester

Nice project. I'd like to tinker with something similar soon :) What USB-enabled microcontroller are you using, just out of curiosity? Personally, I'd like to start off using a scope to directly measure everything at once. However, I suspect that every mouse and/or microcontroller emulating a mouse ...

Re: No-latency overclockable (up to 1080p@~270Hz) board preo

So, where's the project at now? Is the DisplayPort version anywhere near full development yet? Are you still actively selling? EDIT: Nevermind, watched your video's and saw that it is completed :) Is G-sync possible to duplicate on your boards? (Not that you'd need it at such high refresh rates, pro...

Re: No-latency overclockable (up to 1080p@~270Hz) board preo

I'm sticking to my theory of overcurrent protection in one of the powersupplies in the tcon. Your fpga board doesn't have enough i/o. You need 2(pairs)*4(channels)*5(ABCKD)*2(inputs+outputs)=80 pins available. Overcurrent protection makes the most sense to me as well. Hadn't considered that back wh...

Re: No-latency overclockable (up to 1080p@~270Hz) board preo

I'm guessing you have one of those 27" samsung PLS panels? No fix for it that I know of. It might be the panel itself and not even in the tcon. Dunno. For the korean ones that you're talking about, you're probably talking about the popular M240HW01-V8 24" 144Hz panel. I have a beta-tester which has...

Re: No-latency overclockable (up to 1080p@~270Hz) board preo

The boards should work with any four channel 8-bit lvds panel. If the panel is only 2ch, it probably isn't interesting anyway. For 10bit stuff, you'll have to wait for the displayport version. For 8Vx1 and 8ch lvds, I have adapters designed but not yet built. The boards in most of those Korean moni...

Re: No-latency overclockable (up to 1080p@~270Hz) board preo

I remember watching your original video in the past. I was really excited then, and I still am now. I'm at work at the moment, so I can't listen to what is being said in the videos, but I have a few questions. I've found korean 1080p TN monitors that can, out of the box, be overclocked to similar ra...

Re: XB270H Abprz ULMB corona

All of them do. The XB270HU (the IPS monitor) has very low amounts at 85hz (better than the ROG Swift) but IPS monitors don't usually push overdrive levels as high as TN panels. So the coronas will be lower. Unfortunately, you can't adjust overdrive intensity on any ULMB monitor; you're stuck with ...

Re: Help with new XB270HU

Ah, that's really good to know. Thanks Falkentyne. I recently purchased the XB270HU, but unfortunately it's the older version (accidentally got the TN version. Bought a refurbished model from Acer on Ebay, and I didn't realize TN versions with the same model # even existed. Only paid $445 or so thou...

Re: Compare monitors by slow motion camera

Very cool! I'd definitely be interested in more of these. Perhaps show the entire monitor as well during a portion of the test, so that individual updates will be more apparent, and scan out behavior can be observed, which would be helpful information for monitors with low-persistence (strobed backl...
