Re: Potentially low MPRT on many 4K and 8K Samsung QLED TVs (lots of RTINGS BFI Test image comparisons)

Thanks! Would be great to know how much input lag the QN90D has with BFI enabled. If it’s significantly less than the CX/GX then this would be another positive.

You talk a lot about brightness, but I think even 40 nits is acceptable in a complete dark room, although the brighter the better of ...

Re: Potentially low MPRT on many 4K and 8K Samsung QLED TVs (lots of RTINGS BFI Test image comparisons)

Thanks! Do you happen to also have experience with a Panasonic VT50 or VT60? Those can be bought for pretty cheap in Germany, a Kuro on the other hand is a lot more expensive.

To be honest I truly hate LCDs with a passion, but maybe the QN90D might still be okayish if the clarity at 60Hz actually ...

Re: Potentially low MPRT on many 4K and 8K Samsung QLED TVs (lots of RTINGS BFI Test image comparisons)

I just saw this thread and would like to thank you for all your investigations!

I’m currently looking for the best 60Hz/60FPS display for (retro sdr) gaming and got into the rabbit hole of Plasma TVs. Then I decided maybe a CX/GX is likely the better option all things considered, as it should have ...

Re: oled vs 120hz Plasma Motion Clarity

The size probably won't cut it, but a 32" QD-OLED Monitor (240hz 'MSI UPX) paired with a RetroTINK4K will give you that 4ms persistence(75% motion blur reduction)

Next year, supposedly we're getting 180/200hz QD-OLED TV's. 180hz is compatible with TINK4K, which is a 5ms persistence(66% blur ...

Re: oled vs 120hz Plasma Motion Clarity

Just wanted to ask again, as the question is still open for me. We know with proof that some Plasmas (e.g. the VT50) is capable of 1280x720 @ 120Hz without skipping any frames, does this result in a lot lower persistence or is Plasma really limited by the phosphors?

Supposedly there also the PF50 ...

Re: Closest potential 1440p 240hz monitor release dates?

I would also like to know if and when those monitors come to market. I just don't want to use 1080p anymore with a triple 1440p setup as the mix of 1440p 1080p 1440p wouldn't be too great for me. I mean, maybe it's a bit of a niche as most pro players want to use 1080p to get the most FPS possible ...

Re: Visiting CES 2018

I really need to know when 1440p 240Hz comes out. I don't want to "downgrade" to 24.5" 1080p to get 240Hz, as I do other things as programming too.

Re: 240hz contrast trick

Does the PG258Q achieve the same clarity as the Alienware AW58 with the contrast trick? Because I'm almost convinced to go from 1440p 165Hz to 1080p 240Hz if it's near 144Hz ULMB clarity + G-Sync. :D

I would like to know this one as well, especially in regards when only getting about 100-140 fps in a game.

Re: LightBoost for Samsung C27FG70FQI

I have a question regarding Samsungs Blur Reduction: How does it compare to the others in Input Lag? Samsung seems to implement a different design for their strobing. At least they have significantly less crosstalk then other 1440p 144Hz Blur Reduction monitors.

I was thinking to buy the new ...
