I would also like to know if and when those monitors come to market. I just don't want to use 1080p anymore with a triple 1440p setup as the mix of 1440p 1080p 1440p wouldn't be too great for me. I really need to know when 1440p 240Hz comes out. I don't want to "downgrade" to 24.5" 1080p to get 240Hz, as I do other things as programming too.

Does the PG258Q achieve the same clarity as the Alienware AW58 with the contrast trick? Because I'm almost convinced to go from 1440p 165Hz to 1080p 240Hz if it's near 144Hz ULMB clarity + G-Sync.

I would like to know this one as well, especially in regards when only getting about 100-140 fps in a game.

I have a question regarding Samsungs Blur Reduction: How does it compare to the others in Input Lag? Samsung seems to implement a different design for their strobing. At least they have significantly less crosstalk then other 1440p 144Hz Blur Reduction monitors. I was thinking to buy the new Samsung...

Regarding blur reduction, do you still "need" FPS=Hz at >240Hz? It could be pretty hard to sustain a solid 240 FPS, and games like PUBG have a limit of 144 FPS. I don't quite understand why it's better with blur reduction to have it matched that perfect. Without it, the more Hz the better with any F...

How hard is it to get it working without pre-assembly? As I don't live in China and have to pay lot of taxes, I could get the Samsung U28D590D + non Panel kit for less than the full Panel kit. I'm fine with soldering as long as it's not extremely small.

Thanks for the response. With less tearing I meant less noticable tearing, but yeah technically you are right. :) I was thinking if the refreshrate alone makes it less noticable. Like 240 FPS with 120 Hz and 240 FPS with 240Hz. Or is it only higher FPS that help? That would be a reason to play with ...

I would like to know how the 300Hz and 480Hz perform regarding tearing. Do you even need Freesync/G-Sync at this high refreshrates, or is it only less tearing with high fps?
