Re: DLSS3 interpolation two-cap approach ("latency guard" in-game cap + "stutter guard" external cap)
Those are pretty interesting observations! I need to retest as NVIDIA is rapidly tweaking things around. You never want to do RTSS-alone, when using framegen, it's only a fallback. It can either make it better or worse. It's very interesting that the NVCP capping works much better. What you might w...

Re: DLSS3 interpolation two-cap approach ("latency guard" in-game cap + "stutter guard" external cap)
But when I tested in 1440p it was tearing quite a lot, meaning there was definitely no VSYNC being used. You could use NVIDIA Control Panel to for VSYNC ON when VRR is enabled. See if that works to hide the tearing during VRR. The 1440p test was just to test on a different monitor. I do have some i...

Re: gpu scaling vs Display scaling
What resolution are you using in the game? The guy above is talking about a native resolution, full hd For him it is better to use (he said so) display scaling, full screen. 1080p native. As I said, GPU scaling may contribute to a GPU bound scenario which adds latency to give a different "feel" of ...

Re: DLSS3 interpolation two-cap approach ("latency guard" in-game cap + "stutter guard" external cap)
Thank you so much for this thread. Super helpful. So we're essentially capping before the actual interpolation kicks in, which makes absolute sense! I do have a few questions, I'm playing CP2077 on my LG C9. DLSS 3 / 3.5 + FG. When FG is enabled, Reflex is selected but greyed out, so it's forcefull...

Re: [Velocitization Effect] Re: Adjusting to different refresh rates?
If you're quality/stutter-priority instead of latency-priority (VSYNC OFF is less laggy), Variable Refresh Rate is best most of the time for most games. Just remember to tweak it correctly. ....Newest drivers will be very happy with VRR as long as you set "Vertical Sync"="Use Application Setting" f...

3. For most in-game cap with DLSS 3.0, use a frame rate less than half the max Hz. - For example for a 120Hz OLED G-SYNC television, you want about a 55fps (110fps) in-game cap (110fps after DLSS 3 interpolation), and about a 57fps (114fps) external cap. 4. Use the two-tier cap approach to reduce l...

Re: Looking for the best 1440p IPS 144hz monitor
This is a very easy question to answer LG 27GL850-b is the best 1440p monitor if your criteria are response times AND overall use. it's also the fastest 144hz monitor as well. Faster than the viewsonic elite xg270qg from 144hz and below> The viewsonic is only faster if the framerate is at 165hz and...

Very frustrated with 24 1080P IPS choices
Hi all, I'm in the market for a new 24" IPS and am extremely confused due to an insane lack of reviews on a lot of these... I've gathered some that I was interested in such as: MSI MAG251RX - 240hz Acer Predator XB253QGX - 240hz Acer XV253QX - 240 Hz Acer XV253QP - 144Hz ASUS TUF VG259Q - 144hz ASUS...

Re: Looking for a new 24" 144hz monitor
I'd essentially like it to have very little blur, like I remember I had with XL2411Z with the tool provided here:
What other monitors nowadays are good in that regard apart from the BenQ?

Re: Looking for a new 24" 144hz monitor
I used blur reduction with the tool from this site when I owned it. I mainly play csgo. Would I be losing much by going acer or asus without that feature?
