I just did some more searching, and I found that the TV was selling on Walmart.com for $1300 new (now out of stock), and it sells at Target.com for $1750 new. 60hz sucks. I have to limit my games to 50fps to avoid screen tearing, and vsync sucks because it adds half a second of input lag. There's no way I'm gonna use a 27" monitor and play from the couch; all these PC desk-people don't make sense. Desks aren't comfortable; that sucks. I'm trying to game ...

I'm tall, and my upper back ends up against the headrest for every chair I've ever sat in. This means I have no lower back support unless I severely slouch. Even if chairs were made for people of my height, I'd prefer the couch. Anyone would rather sit on a couch than a chair for non-productive task...
