Re: RTSS now has new automatic Low-Lag VSYNC ON (raster base
So if I have this correct: this should essentially be setting up the framerate limiter to the best possible value for latency automatically based on your refresh rate, while trying to maintain a fixed position for the tear line. The "SyncScanline0" option sets the target position for the tear line, ...

Re: Nvidia Introduces 65-inch "Big Format Gaming Displays"
65 inch? Hardly any PC gamer's I know use a couch. Some incredibly obvious FALD blooming on bright objects too as seen in the Linus video. Yeah, this is too big. Should have been 46" at most for a 4K large-format monitor. Not only does the local dimming look bad, it’s a VA panel and it looked like ...

Re: Is Local Dimming/Quantum Dots Really a Good Thing?
There's no doubt that FALD is a massive image quality improver for LCD tech, regardless of the underlying native contrast. I remember discussing with someone on AVS about FALD + VA or FALD + IPS and they said IPS' shortfalls in the native CR department are overcome by the huge improvement to overal...

Re: Is Local Dimming/Quantum Dots Really a Good Thing?
No, it's a 2010 TV so both images are SDR with and without local dimming.darzo wrote:Are those two images with HDR on?

Re: Is Local Dimming/Quantum Dots Really a Good Thing?
People overstate how bad haloing can be on FALD displays because they either haven't seen a good one, or haven't seen one at all. It's there, no doubt about it, and local dimming kills viewing angles, but over-exposed photographs don't give an accurate representation of local dimming. Here's a prope...

Re: 3440x1440 with ULMB?
All 3440x1440 monitors are VA-based, which usually ghosts a lot with dim colors, and they limit to 100Hz. If you are a huge disliker of ghosting, there is no 3440x1440 model that I currently recommend at this time unless you're willing to settle for a 75Hz FreeSync IPS model ( Acer Predator XR341CK...

Re: You guys are my last hope for fixing my problem
3- My mouse movement is corrupted. It literally feels like as if when i move it from left to right, someone is pushing it from right to left. The cursor stops in miliseconds. That's why 1600 dpi feels like 900-1000. DPI is easily measured with a ruler. Don't go by what the mouse "feels like". Measu...

I got lucky with those. I think I took one or maybe two sets of photos for G-Sync on/off and they matched very closely. I was expecting to spend a lot more time to get shots that lined up.lexlazootin wrote:Wow, good timing on those photos, it's almost perfectly matched.

Re: You guys are my last hope for fixing my problem
I know that CS:GO players are superstitious, but for a moment I had to check that I had not stumbled onto some audiophile website. I'm surprised at the responses from many of the regulars here. Almost all of the changes you've listed are placebos that don't have any impact on the issues you describe...

I use DisplayFusion's monitor profiles feature.
You can set up hotkeys to switch profile, or assign profiles to certain applications/games.
