Hello, so I've been curious to tryout the CRT beam sim shader for my LG dual-mode OLED at 480Hz as I wanted some form of BFI on.
I play fast competitive fps games, can have such stable fps in specific games and I'd like to have potential clarity improvement further.

I saw this and kinda surprised LCD is being used, I'd expect OLED only at this level. Either way will be interesting to see, though I'd like 1000Hz OLED with BFI options and sync really.

Did you know that dual modes are blurry? Turns out it's not properly integerly scaled. As far as I'm aware this is the case with all WOLED dual modes. I haven't seen tests on LCDs, but I assume they are affected too. It lands exactly between a standard blurry bicubic and ideal integer. So please ...

In short, I want to move to higher PPI but also have as best motion clarity as I do play competitive fps games. The dual-mode ones are a great option as they're also matte which I prefer. Basically all-in-one monitor for me. Current dual-mode Asus one is €1800 for me. That's quite an insane ...

If the new 240hz 4K QD-OLED monitor had a matte coating, I'd probably buy it.

It used to be a case of choosing either good motion clarity or good colours. Now we have both. OLED isn't 'perfect' by any means, but it's definitely making huge jumps in improvement year after year now.

So we've had solid OLED monitors so far on the market, but sadly quite lacking in features especially with their top price attacked. Monitors that are 4K 240Hz dual-mode 1080p@480Hz that don't use full DP 2.1 80Gbps and rely on DSC that can cause issues and really no reason to use it as new ...
