Re: 1080/1440p on 4K TV as PC monitor
@jorimt Is setting the resolution to 4K in the NVCPL, so Windows runs it natively at 4K, and then whenever I launch a game, I set the game to 1440p, a solution? That way I get perfect clarity across the system and for browser content etc., and downscale(?) the games to 1440p so I can get the desired ...

Re: 1080/1440p on 4K TV as PC monitor
So there is actually no way to get a perfectly clear image/text at 1440p on a 4K TV? Equal to the clarity of 1080p on the same 4K TV...
If we're talking about a physical 1440p resolution set in the NVCP on a 4k TV, pretty much unavoidable, yes, and this goes for any lower source resolution ...

Re: Should i leave Global C-States Disabled by default?
I just told you that High/Ultimate performance has a default state of 100% for minimum and maximum. If your power plans do not have that set to default, that means you've either modified your power plans or you're not using High/Ultimate. We can see from your posts that you've done some testing with ...

Re: Should i leave Global C-States Disabled by default?
Well, my friend, believe it or not, doing what I suggested gives you High/Ultimate performance (with both having min. + max. 100% by default) and exactly what you just posted previously. So what exactly had no chance in hell of happening for you, considering it is already done?

Re: Should i leave Global C-States Disabled by default?
I would recommend you do 'powercfg -restoredefaultschemes' in elevated CMD and choose High/Ultimate performance plan, and leave it as it is.

1080/1440p on 4K TV as PC monitor
Hi
So I've had an LG C8 55" since its release and been using it as my main PC monitor, running it at 1080p 120hz on PC input label for 4:4:4. RTX 3080 runs everything at 120fps for me. Been very happy with it.
Now, I've been thinking about upgrading to 1440p and I found the LG C4 65" on sale. (C8 ...

Re: Should i leave Global C-States Disabled by default?
You would think it is easy to find an "official recommendation" by AMD if it was true. If you can't find it, perhaps it's not as "official" as you say. My system runs issue-free. Setting your recommendation produced issues-- issues that I've actually never seen in my 30 years as an expert user of ...

Re: Should i leave Global C-States Disabled by default?
@lolokaa
having issues using 99/100% means you have problems with that system, not with the fact your using those settings.
ignoring your advising against something you have doubtly tested on +2000 system, so statistically speaking, zero way for you to confirm anything.
besides, this is official ...
