Re: Windowed/Borderless Stutter

Hi, yep I am seeing the exact same problem (and just spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to fix it and Googling the issue). Windowed or borderless G-sync is broken (I don't know about AMD's version?). I have successfully used it in the past (but honestly that was quite a while ago, maybe a year...

Re: How to overclock G-Sync (Bonus: Unlocked Glitch State)

Yea sorry if it wasn't clear, I started with 100hz, noted the pixel clock (410 something) then put in 90hz and raised the horizontal total until pixel clock was 407. That worked, but with a tear line. When I tried starting from 85hz, I couldn't get anything other than a black screen (again, simply a...

Re: How to overclock G-Sync (Bonus: Unlocked Glitch State)

Huum, wondering if this could me help create a custom 90hz refresh on my Rog Swift? I'll have to try when I get home. This is purely to achieve perfect sync with my Oculus Rift when using Virtual Desktop. I've had no luck so far and I'm a sucker for perfect smoothness (g-sync user since day one) so...

Re: Gsync does not work for me

Videos aren't going to show anything except maybe the framerate fluctuations if there is an OSD displaying it. I think you're misunderstanding g-sync completely and also are not very sensitive to input lag at all because in the 60hz range it's atrocious. And what refresh rate are you running your di...

Re: Does Gsync Fix Micro hitching/Stutter?

Multi-GPU tech is at present still little more than a cash grab from my point of view. Greatly increased cost (price of second GPU + supporting mobo + supporting PSU + power usage/heat/noise) for a rarely amazing performance increase (it's very rarely more than or even just equal to 40-50%) and you ...

Re: No "Display Scaling" option in NVIDIA control panel

Right, but doesn't that just mean the picture is sent untouched to the display and it's then entirely up to the monitor internals? Never had a monitor with 1:1 pixel mapping so I always had to pick another option in NVCP as I can't stand the slightest stretching. edit : actually I have used this in ...

Re: No "Display Scaling" option in NVIDIA control panel

I did nothing special really, NVCP says "GPU - no scaling" and I just select any resolution &refresh rate in game and it works and I get my black bars around the picture. I played BF4 in 1920x1080, 1440x1080, 1920x1440 etc. on the Swift and it kept the proper aspect ratio and I had black bars where ...

Re: No "Display Scaling" option in NVIDIA control panel

Yeah GPU scaling is good enough, true. Display scaling lets you use the monitor OSD to control the aspect ratios, though. The thing that people completely miss that, EXCEPT on the windows desktop itself, Display scaling does not function in directX 10/11 games. Everything is GPU Scaled always. Disp...
