Re: Strobing micro stutters, whats your experience?
If you want the absolute lowest input lag, you may not be able to achieve it while having perfect motion quality. That's correct. Pros/cons. That's why in SOME games, you may have faster human reaction time without jitters. Adding more input lag to the system to reduce human lag if the jitters are ...

Re: Strobing micro stutters, whats your experience?
While framerate=Hz is better for strobing, brute framerate compensates. Strobed 480fps at 120Hz will have half the stutter-vibration amplitude (size of jitter) as strobed 240fps 120Hz. It's a mathematical function between two frequencies, and the brute oversampling of framerate far above Hz has bene...

Re: I fixed my Desync/input Lag/Hitreg in CSGO
I wish more game engines netcode would re-add a very slight amount of optional intentional latency for a dejitter-buffer (like a YouTube/Netflix dejitter buffer, except for multiplayer packets, about and only ~10-50 milliseconds worth) just to eliminate a hell of a lot of desync problems. Some count...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
My, that's some word salad  ChatGPT has actually mastered the most important human skill. The art of bullshitting  Unfortunately, a gigantic proportion of the human population (here) has become bigger bullshitters than, say, GPT-4 (which bullshits less than GPT-3). Politics. Science. Pa...

Re: How Is OLED Technology Considered "Good"?
Matter of factly, on OLED, there's no difference between 24fps 1:1 pulldown, 2:2 pulldown, 3:3 pulldown, 4:4 pulldown, and 5:5 pulldown, from a photons-to-eyeballs manner. When the pixel is shown 1/24sec unchanged regardless of pulldown, the the pulldowns are no-operations, image being replaced by a...

Re: Need 5 second test from guys with multimeter
Let me rephrase. That is why I am almost never a fan of these kinds of troubleshooting approach methods EMI for most average computer using people, rather preferring to solve EMI via much easier shotgun-based approach where broader solutions are attempted to solve multiple potential causes, rather t...

Re: Need 5 second test from guys with multimeter
That is why I am almost never a fan of troubleshooting EMI. You can try to solve some of it if you own your house (e.g. install a whole house power conditioner) Easier to just shotgun approach and use offgrid technique if electrical fault is coming from the grid. A power station powering your router...

Re: Using NVIDIA's Control Panel + Profile Inspector to reduce input lag in games?
Funny thing is, I do play some of the old games on my PC either through Steam or via emulator. Those that I play through the emulator are the ones that I can't play online, so VSync or input lag are of no concern to me there, as it's all just single-player :D If you don't mind a complicated setting...

Hello! Welcome! I used to moderate AVSFORUM (HTPC forum, 1999-2001); so I recognize you coming from there. But your earlier post that I manually approved has somehow disappeared (you must have self-deleted it). I had merged two posts into one thread, intentionally, but that thread somehow disappeare...
