Re: Looking for a new 1080p 144hz closest to CRT performance...

Currently, few of the 144Hz 1080p use the new “Fast IPS” panels, so you will have to live with possibly slightly worse motion blur than 144Hz TN panels like the BenQ. If that bothers you, I’d stick to your BenQ a little longer until more upgradefeel can fit into your cost leagues. Did you know the B...

Re: SYNC FAILURE

I don't know. I am guessing gigabyte was the bigger problem because it was running as a service. The Asus one was just a bios toggle for lights on/off. If you know which app was the CPU hog, let me know. I may want to strategically release an article to, ehm, perhaps “honestly sensationalize” this ...

Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)

I wonder how this stacks up against the XG2431 https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-25-gaming-monitor-s2522hg/apd/210-azzo/monitors-monitor-accessories#techspecs_section None of the 25” 240Hz panels on the market are horizontal scanrate multisync (aka low lag at low Hz). I’d be surprised if this sp...

Re: SYNC FAILURE

Yep.

Fortunately, only half of the RGB software may cause problems, others such as Razer is written very efficiently.

Was ASUS or Aorus the bigger problem?

Re: New 27" Gaming monitor

You asked too many questions at once, so keep it easy. Which question would you like answered first? Thanks! A 27” wide gamut 144Hz-165Hz IPS is a good fit for many people. Just make sure it’s a 2020 or newer model, as the pixel response of new “Fast IPS” panels are quite noticeably better. Do you w...

Re: Razer suggests no Adaptive sync with 8000hz?

Can you please link to the Razer reference? I want to correctly interpret context. I assume you mean FreeSync/GSYNC and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technologies, when you refer to Adaptive Sync, and if so, 8000Hz mice does not make VRR redundant. P.S. Don’t confuse VRR (VESA Adaptive Sync) with a dr...

Re: SYNC FAILURE

Background CPU processing shows up in that graph. Browsers are super sensitive to this.

Temporarily reboot with no system tray apps and see what happens. Some RGB software are inefficient, for example, while old versions of a specific cloud sync app has also been a culprit.

Re: Looking for a new 1080p 144hz closest to CRT performance...

If you want CRT clarity, don’t need to mortgage yourself at only 144Hz. Get 240Hz, and get one of the new FastIPS panels (2020 manufacture or newer). 100Hz strobe on 240Hz panels have more CRT motion clarity than 100Hz strove on 144Hz panels, because of more time to hide LCD GtG pixel response unsee...

Crossposting here from https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8718 As Chief Blur Buster I want to personally confirm that I assisted Eve with strobe tuning. I completed my strobe tuning work this week. Talk about tight timing! I personally requested that my completion is not pre-announce...

Re: New Framelag after OS reinstall that won't go away

1. Dell sd2716dg 2. I used DDU for every driver install session 3. Just single monitor Hmm. Strange. Could be in major part due to Windows 8.1 quirks and/or interactions with the S2716DG behaviors. 1. Can you photograph www.testufo.com/frameskipping please? (camera, not screenshot) ... Try to captu...
