Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I wonder if you can use blur reduction at 390hz. The other batch of 360hz only has blur reduction at 240hz (or not at all in the case of the Dell variant). The problem with blur reduction is you want framerate=Hz, and 390fps is hard to reach. https://blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/strob...

Re: Looking for a new 1080p 144hz closest to CRT performance...

Am I really going to get *much* better than this by going to say a XL2540 or VG297QM (which from tests I've seen cannot get this sharp?). If strobing is important, then yes. I've seen XL2546 DyAc series do better strobing for screen-middle at 240Hz nowadays. But IPS has caught up, and surpassed TN ...

Re: [EVE 4K 144Hz Spectrum] Blur Busters Strobe Tuning! (KSF but better than plasma, has 50Hz+60Hz single strobe)

Very nice news for all the chaps waiting for a 60/50hz single strobe modern LCD. To this date, we've convinced two manufacturers to pledge support 60 Hz single strobe for at least some models: - ViewSonic - EVE So that's a big Blur Busters win; to bring retro-friendly strobing to more brands of mon...

Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)

Hey Chief, have you cooperated with Viewsonic with their other upcoming 24/25", high Hz, FHD monitor, the xg251g? I just find it interesting that they have two monitors that seems to cover the same niche/market. Are they focusing on different things, like the xg2431 trying to deliver image quality,...

Re: AOC241QX-useless "solid" vertical totals

Not all panels support Large Vertical Totals correctly. Sometimes the scaler/TCON does not behave the way we want from a lag-reduction and crosstalk-reduction perspective. Normally you can only determine this via a lagtester or a photodiode oscilloscope. But there's a clever way to visually check (w...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Oh wow! Would you be able to do 390Hz vs 360Hz ufo test at best overdrive available? It would be a first one on the Internet. I believe this monitor also has motion blur reduction called VRB at probably 240Hz max. Some of those ufos would also be interesting to see. Hopefully you do the tests corre...

Re: Is the 512 Hz limitation removed in windows 11?

Hi, I saw people using windows 11 for several days and then I had a question, did they fix the 512 Hz problem? I'll ask immediately -- I have now fired off an email to Microsoft. I know I have a Windows 10 Insider Build with a hidden registry key that raises the limitation to 1000 Hz. Since I'm inv...

Re: My monitor is Predator 273U GX 1440p 240Hz and I am having this issue with purple line in the Edge browser.

This is usually a ClearType tuning issue combined with Sharpness. 1. First, go into your monitor menus, and adjust Sharpness down to a neutral setting. 2. Next, search " adjust cleartype " in the Windows Search Box next to your Start button at bottom-right. 3. Run the app that shows up. It's the Cle...

Re: LF a monitor with best image quality, with good refresh rate? (Even 144hz is fine)

Such as LG 27GL850 or ViewSonic XG270QG or Eve Spectrum or others? are there any good 24'' NanoIPs, not extremely pricy panels? So far I could only find the LG 24MD4KL-B Try an Amazon Prime Day sale, perhaps? It will help you to be flexible with the resolution (1440p) and size (27") and there are w...
