Re: New GIGABYTE Aim Stabilizer SYNC - ASUS ELMB SYNC

It will be great for fps ≥ refresh rate scenarios. There is always compromises (usually micrstutter) for framerates above refreshrate. Any claims otherwise is marketing -- but brute overkill (e.g. 300fps at 120Hz) has always been the time-honored fix, for all strobe technologies, including LightBoo...

Re: Any solutions or tweaks to reduce crosstalk or ghosting (vg27aq)

The monitor i have now is the vg27aq (2k 165hz). Its not living up to the reviews I've seen like here teckporns reviews. At the very most on there test they get triple strobes while I'm getting 6 to 8 on the top one and 4 to 5 on the middle one. Its really noticeable in games and I can't live witho...

Re: Question about Input Lag at 60Hz

Thank you so much for the reply. I really do appreciate it. I want to ask this follow-up question if I may only so that I can better understand how this stuff works. If I were to use G-SYNC / FreeSync for low frame rate games, wouldn't that set the refresh rate to 60hz creating the 60fps at 60hz sc...

Re: Question about Input Lag at 60Hz

Reviews for the ASUS VG259QM monitor say input lag spikes when at 60 Hz. Does this mean if I play games that are locked at 60 fps I would experience higher input lag? Would this also be true for games where 60 fps is the best I can get? No, these are two different things: 60fps at 60Hz = high lag ....

Re: MSI MAG274QRF QD : how to warm it up for better response time ?

LCDs are indeed temperature sensitive. But do not cover the vent holes! If you want the lowest lag of fastest response time -- just simply run the monitor continuously to keep it warm. For response-time critical situations you can simply keep the monitor operating 24/7 (disable sleep / screensaver) ...

Re: Weird response time behaviour on my hp omen x25 f

LCD GtG can be very temperature sensitive If you are sensitive to temperature-changes to LCD GtG pixel response, try disabling the monitor's sleep mode and make sure it's running hot for a while before beginning to adjust/play it. Some tips to keep LCD pixel response stable during gameplay: Warm up...

Re: [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS] ViewSonic unveils monitors for 2021 (The new 240Hz 24" king?)

I hear a lot of talk for this monitor for console / retro use. But as for the best 24" monitor for competitive fps on low settings. Would you recommend this monitor? Also considered a 340 hz but not sure it's overkill, and looking for quality over quantity. Where do you think this monitor ranks for...

Re: MAME emulator and 240Hz monitor

Unless you're using strobed modes, LFC (repeat refresh cycle logic) can be superior to non-LFC when the framerate is steady. On many 240 Hz LCD panels, 114 Hz can have superior picture quality to 57Hz by speeding up the inversion logic to avoid inversion artifacts from becoming visible (i.e. avoidin...

Re: Zero cross-talk/motion blur 144HZ monitor?

I've searched this forum for a while looking for some more information on the large vertical total tricks that you guys have come up with when it comes to the XG270 in particular. Does this method work on the xg270? Perhaps could I improve this monitor for the time being? It's genuinely a fantastic...
