Re: Found the best gaming monitor by accident

You are welcome! There are many sources of dark-screen nonuniformity - Pressure spots (fix by burn-in) - Edgelight bleed (if very very bad, then RMA) - Unfixable IPS glow, VA gamma quirks, TN tight viewing angle - Etc. Burn-in period mainly helps the pressure spots (mis-shipping, like stacked boxes ...

Re: Black Friday 2021: ViewSonic XG2431 Finally in Stock at Amazon US (Most CRT motion clarity LCD on market)

Wait, this monitor supports 60hz strobing now? Even on video game consoles? EDIT: I'm stupid. I've missed the big thread about it. All this time, I only thought the XL2411P was the only monitor choice for 60hz single strobe, and I confused the XG2431 with the XG270. Correct, I convinced multiple ma...

Actually, the majority of NVIDIA G-SYNC chipped displays need DisplayPort, and so, that's actually correct, at least for that monitor model.

Re: Buying Help for Competitive FPS Monitor

The ASUS panels are good too. But there's some additional reasons; The panel vendor's panel (Innolux 23.8" 1ms 240Hz IPS LCD) panels are also VERY good even without strobing. I daresay slightly better than 25" panels -- but it is a personal preference. Some people actually like it better than the ot...

Re: ASUS PG259QN hack for single-strobe ULMB 50 Hz and ULMB 60 Hz

But... we may get no strobe on console or TV box because NV ULMB enabled does NOT work HDMI port, ok? It has nothing to do with HDMI vs DP. I got ULMB working over HDMI, but only from an NVIDIA GPU to an NVIDIA ULMB monitor. ULMB also uses a form of DRM (vendor lock in) so it doesn't work with AMD ...

Great!

Winter 2021 updates postponed?
No. It's only the first cycle. There's at least two or three iterative TestUFO development lifecycles planned in 2022. It's just too many features to squeeze into the first cycle, but will try to do my best!

[Burn-in:] media - go F..K yourself. If this monitor lasts me 2years i am good - thank you and get lost. [48" is too much, if you had 24" just get 27" ultrawide LCD]: Again my responce would be F..K off. [You would need to sit 2 but 3meters away from this]: nope.. 110cm is perfect and for a super f...

It is not placebo. to be clear, my statement was in reference to my individual perception rather than the entire human (or game playing) population. I suspect my reaction time is on the slower side, and certainly a standard deviation or two below an esports professional/"good" player. my in-game pe...

Can strobe work 50Hz?
Not for the XG2431 as its minimum strobe Hz is 59Hz. There is another Blur Busters tuned model (not Blur Busters Approved due to KSF phosphor) but supports Strobe Utility, which is the Eve Spectrum 4K144, which can strobe as low as 48 Hz.
