Re: add a subcategory VR headsets to forum
A friend just sent me a slow-motion video recorded through a meta3s lens. The screen flickers. I think the PWM duty cycle is well below 50%. I can upload it to YouTube if you'd like to watch it.
It's less than 10%.
You can run www.testufo.com/mprt at about 2000-3000 pixels/sec and enable the ...

Re: Vint: Realtime Video Interpolation and CRT Emulation is now Available. What are your feature requests?
I am being interviewed by a gaming magazine, and will be mentioning multiple indie software including "Vint CRT Emulation" or "Vint on Steam" in addition to other software available such as RetroArch and ShaderBeam. ShaderBeam got released quickly because I informed author of my upcoming magazine ...

Update:I tried using Microsoft edge and ran the test there and it seems to hold READY fairly easily...So I guess it's a recent firefox issue?
Firefox has been kinda iffy on TestUFO for years. I recommend Firefox team include TestUFO in their framepacing tests. |

Re: is benq 2411p still good option for smooth 60 fps?
An XL2411P with the old single-strobe firmware, is definitely one of the cheapest way to get 60fps single-strobe, at less than 100 dollars.
The next best one would obviously be the Viewsonic XG2431 during a Boxing Day Sale, but that's still multiple times more than the price of an XL2411P with a ...

Re: add a subcategory VR headsets to forum
I read that meta quest 3 uses a strobe display. It would be good to read about it on the forum.
Update .However, I read that meta 3 does not use the stroboscopic effect.

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV
i noticed that on pg248qp, 360hz looks better than 540hz in ufo test, at normal speeds, also same with zowie looks better at lower refresh rates than the 540hz maximum
This can occur because of LCD GtG, whether you are strobing or not.
When "refreshtime:gtg" ratio becomes bad, you're muddying ...

Human eyes doesn't work exactly like a camera that's why I think people are too serious about UFO test.
Correct. Exactly.
But there ARE ways to adjust a camera to emulate a human eye better, as explained in the instructions/tooltips at www.testufo.com/ghosting (click on "Pursuit Camera Sync ...

Re: Recommended Monitor for Steam Machine
A 240Hz monitor with a VERY GOOD 60-120Hz capability is warranted, and that's the ViewSonic XG2431.

I helped ViewSonic make this 240Hz one of the best 60-120Hz blur-reducing monitor for gaming consoles.
Obviously, it's LCD and all that entails. If blacks and HDR colors ...

Do you have a screenshot you can repost here?
I'm afraid not, I just took notes of what the top voted features were. I didn't expect the old votes would get wiped but it seems obvious, in retrospect, that they would be.
