Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

The way I have interpreted it... When the bottleneck is the RTSS limiter, rather than a performance bottleneck, Max Prerendered Frames becomes 0, rather than 1+, and so this is the neutral input lag that you should expect. An ingame limiter does the same, but the limiter can reduce the input lag. Wh...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

So with GSYNC, it is better to just use ingame limiters majority of the time because of the lower input lag? RTSS's superior framepacing does not matter because GSYNC's frame delivery already solves this problem? Also when I mentioned CSGO being all over the place, I mean that it's a few frames lowe...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Anyone kind enough to post a list of games where it is BETTER to use RTSS instead of the ingame limiter? At the moment I play CS:GO, CoD series, PUBG, Osu!. These all have their own limiters, which I use, I only use RTSS for CoD BO2 since that caps at 120 or 200 fps. CS:GO and CoD limiters are all o...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Did you test ingame limiter with RTSS limiter active at the same time? Would be interested to see when both are set to the same value, or ingame at Hz - 3 and RTSS at Hz - 2, or some other staggered set up depending on how much the ingame limiter fluctuates. Well, only 1 thing is really limiting fr...

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?

Alright I deleted the config files, reverified the game, and basically restored it to defaults. That stutter is fixed, even with fps_max 162, no RTSS and gsync/vsync enabled.

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?

The stutter was happening on the "Aim Botz - Training" workshop map whilst strafing back and forward. https://youtu.be/RNaJSigkNK0 You can see it happen at 1 second, 12 second, 24 second, 36 second. Obviously a pattern there. Game Bar is disabled. Game mode in the game bar is disabled. Game mode in ...

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?

Lucky you. Try the overclock function and see if you can back me up with my findings. @sekta you're overthinking all of this, and solely testing by eye with a (likely currently buggy) built-in refresh rate meter is only going to get you so far. I've been doing actual input latency tests with actual...

Re: G-Sync requiring very low FPS cap?

Lucky you. Try the overclock function and see if you can back me up with my findings. I messed around with it some more in order to reduce the input lag. I wanted to use both the ingame limiter and RTSS at the same time. Didn't really matter what combination I did, with VSYNC disabled it had microst...
