Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Well, the title of this thread is "laser projectors general", although rear projection could be considered similar to a traditional TV or monitor.
I agree about low refresh rates and scanned displays, I used to hate 60hz flicker on CRTs and wouldn't even consider using one lower than 72hz, 85 ...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
*snip*
This is all a non-issue if you could somehow pack lasers in a display
Doesn't have to be a projector for this tech to catch on it could be used on TV's/Computer Monitors
If anything flicker is more of an issue since most people can't stand it and most of them run their TV's at a lowly 60hz ...

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Are you sure you cant seperate 120 frames across 2 projectors (2 hdmi outputs) pointed at same screen and cycle both 60hz per second? It seems more like a software problem rather than being limited by projectors' properties.

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
Thanks a lot for comprehensive response!
One last question: is it possible to achieve 120+ hz refresh rate so it can be used for gaming? Maybe by overlaying 2 projectors with 2 different inputs and cycling between both with graphic card? I guess that would require custom software?

Re: Laser projectors general? [zero lag & zero blur!!!]
hello! great thread!
Are you using celluon picopro projectors? have you tried Sony's MP-CL1?
I've read picopro is blurry and not "true" HD resolution.
Is their refresh rate overclockable? with lower resolution?
Is it possible to stack them to produce 16:10 ratio in 2560x1600?
thanks!
