Re: Do you have a Virtual Reality Headset? (Oculus, Rift, Valve Index, Quest, HTC, Pimax, Reverb)

I want to create a custom resolution for 90 hz for virtual desktop pc games. I'm using a lg c9 at 1440 p 120 hz, but I will need to use toasty x CRU to create a custom resolution since the edid doesn't have 90 hz at any resolution as far as I can tell. What exact refresh rate is quest 2 at when usin...

Lies beneath is 20 % off right now. I’ve been waiting for this to go on sale. It’s cross buy too as their is a rift version, so if you want to play this on virtual desktop that is an option.

Something interesting that I have found is great graphics aren’t a really big deal in vr. Everything tends to look amazing because it’s in 3D and feels like you’re practically there. One of my favorite games is Anchient Dungeon which is in beta and available on the oculus store via app lab for free....

I actually saw you talking about it on Neogaf and made the suggestion to you on Twitter. The quest 2 is my first headset. I’ve always been interested in vr, but I was waiting for the tech to mature a bit. The quest 2 felt like the perfect time to take the plunge and it’s been amazing so far. I’m hop...

Re: Unreal Engine 4 games flicker with gsync in dark areas

Yeah, it’s the only game I’ve tried from windows store that does this too. Interesting, I can't replicate in SoT. I simply had G-SYNC set to "Enable for full screen mode" and in-game set to "Fullscreen," and VRR engaged on my CX. Do note, I did leave fullscreen optimization enabled for the exe as w...

Re: Unreal Engine 4 games flicker with gsync in dark areas

Typically store games do work like this yes. For me though the only way I get can gsync icon to pop is by telling that app to use gsync with window and full screen. Gear of war and for a horizon I get the notification without it. You can't get SoT to work with VRR without setting G-SYNC to borderle...

Re: Unreal Engine 4 games flicker with gsync in dark areas

Keep in mind if you’re playing the windows store version you need to make sure that gsync is enabled for windowed mode since full screen exclusive isn’t available for that version of the game. Yes oled vrr seems even more sensitive to frame time variance flicker than lcd. Perhaps it’s because of it...

Re: Unreal Engine 4 games flicker with gsync in dark areas

I think it’s just speculation whether or not it’s hardware that is the problem. Obviously it’s more ideal if tweaks to gamma through the entire vrr range will fix it, but I don’t think there is any confirmation outside of educated guesses.

Re: Unreal Engine 4 games flicker with gsync in dark areas

You can easily induce this pulsating light flicker by going to the lower deck of your ship and postioning your camera into the wall. Alright, I finally managed to test this; beyond the soft undulation of the lantern light, I'm not getting the flicker in this game, but I am in CoD Cold War: https://...
