Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Wouldn't GSYNC + VSYNC OFF be the same as GSYNC + VSYNC ON when the fps is limited 3 fps below the refresh rate? VSYNC only triggers at exactly fps=refresh, right? I'm not sure if this is a valid question but I had to throw it out anyway.

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

I was browsing through some of the posts, what's this about MPRF > 1 plus hitting RTSS frame cap = reduced input lag? Is that really a thing? So if you're running Overwatch at 300fps cap, but only max out at 260fps under the most load, let's say, you can reduce input lag by setting the in-game fps ...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Single-core performance is the most important stat for CS:GO. If it maxes out a single core, you've hit the wall. I'm not sure if this is off topic or not but here it goes. I initially thought it was a CPU bottleneck but then I checked the maximum thread usage while playing CSGO @ 1080p with my 108...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Yeah, I figured I'm getting the same framerates when I was using a 1070. Fps_max is set at 999 even before you mentioned it. I'm still using a 2600K CPU so I think this is a case of a CPU bottlenecking the GPU. Ah, that explains it. You omitted the CPU in your initial post, so I assumed you had a m...

@Chief

Thanks, that makes total sense.

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Ok, that makes sense. I just re-read the optimal settings page and had a better sense of what you're saying. I have a question regarding FPS competitive games like CS:GO and Overwatch (especially CS:GO) though. There are mixed reviews all over the Internet regarding using GSYNC with CS:GO vs. turni...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Simple logistics, really. In the article, the Range page comes before many of the optimal settings explanations and recommendations on the next page, so I treated them as separate elements. E.g. it would be out of order. I would consider re-adding, if it seems more complete to the average reader, h...

@jorimt

Why doesn't the GSYNC range image here: http://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-range/ not include the "optimal gsync settings" that you can find in the old image here: https://i.gyazo.com/35523f43ff4fd7566c3 ... 24e221.png ?

Re: Enabling ULMB in Nvidia Control Panel (AOC G2460PG)

I figured how to solve the problem already. The desktop refresh rate should also be 120Hz for ULMB to trigger when you run the program. It was set to 144Hz before thinking that it would just automatically switch to 120Hz when the program is ran but I guess not.

Is this the same in your case?

Enabling ULMB in Nvidia Control Panel (AOC G2460PG)

So I changed from using GSYNC to ULMB for CS:GO. I set this in the game-specific settings of the Nvidia control panel. The weird thing is that when I run the program, it only changes the freq from 144Hz to 120Hz but does not enable ULMB automatically. I still have to press the button on the screen i...
