Re: What will Facebook do with Oculus?
My immediate prediction is something like steam, but for VR apps. They own the hardware. Easy enough to make it a walled garden and take the typical 30% cut that such distribution entails.

Re: Facebook to Acquire OculusVR
75hz is only for DK2. Everything I've heard points to at least 90hz on CV1. Or at least that's what they are shooting for if it is technically feasible. With the money from FB, that's a lot less of an "if"

Re: *CRISP* 720p on 1440p monitor? (ROG SWIFT)
They should also be able to enable higher refresh rates with the bandwidth issues that XHD has. Yeah this would be awesome but I think the bottleneck here would be getting panels that can react fast enough to make use of the bandwidth. From what I've read elsewhere the panels themselves are faster ...

I really hope them manage it on the QHD and especially the XHD monitors. They should also be able to enable higher refresh rates with the bandwidth issues that XHD has.

Re: Is it worth it for budget gamers?
I have a 7870 LE (Around a $200 gpu when new) So not exactly "budget" but far from high end. By playing with settings I was able to get a solid 100fps in bf4 most of the time. I'm not sure how budget you are thinking, but it is possible with modest hardware providing you prioritize frame rate.

MSTAR ISP rent/buy/sell/trade [upgrade BENQ to V2 firmware]
Anyone want to/willing to do some sort of rental/sharing of a mstar unit to get the firmware upgrades? If someone has one, maybe paypal them the cost minus a bit, and then send it on to the next person. Not like its a device most of us need to use more than once.

Re: BENQ XL2720Z 27" of goodness :) [and firmware bug]
I have a xl2420z with a Jan manufacture date and a NOV firmware revision. I guess they were in no hurry to fix things.retsopmi wrote:Both of the monitors I've received have Nov 2013 manufacture dates. So if the new firmware wasn't until Dec I would assume I don't have a fixed one.
